At just ten years old, young Cade has already become an avid outdoorsman. Hailing from New Iberia, Cade was brought up to have a great respect for the outdoors and the sportsman’s way of life.
Cade and his hunting party headed for Alabama for a weekend hunt. Cade got dressed in his waterproof Oilfield Camo Jacket and cap, prepared to take down a Big Bama Pig. Despite his small size, little Cade was able to bag this HUGE wild hog that gives Cade a run for his money in size! Congrats to Cade on an awesome harvest!
Team Oilfield Camo was able to check in with the Man, the Myth, the Legend… Buddy Ro from Bayou Bucks Magazine. When buddy isn’t setting the world on fire for the guys over at Bayou Bucks, you can bet that he’s out in the woods, tracking down something while wearing his Oilfield Camo gear!
On this particular hunt, Buddy’s unfortunate prey was wild hogs. Buddy had his “Dirty Thirty” locked and loaded when this unfortunate 155lb wild sow walked into his crosshairs. Without a second though, Buddy took the shot, hitting her dead in the heart and dropping her in her tracks. Luckily, he had headed out that day on his ATV. It would have been a much different hunt if he’d had to drag this big pig all the way back to camp.
Great job, Buddy! And thanks for sharing your awesome hunt with us! KEEP DRILLING!!!
In the Oilfield Camo Nation, sometimes it’s tough to get away from the job. Whether you’re looking for some time to spend with the family, or a trip to toss a couple of lines away from the everyday grind… We appreciate the down time that we often have to put to the side to get the hard work done. For this week’s Trophy of the Week, Vince and his buddies got the opportunity to put some work on the back burner and get a little bit of fishing in. It may not be the biggest bite he’s ever had at the end of a line, but trip away from the job site is a success on its own.
Oilfield Camo is proud to display a trophy that is a new one for us here on the site. We’ve had everything from coyotes to giant snapping turtles here in the trophy section, but this is out very first entrant showing off the harvest of a great Texas pheasant hunt!
This week’s Trophy of the Week comes to us from Lance Dronet, out in Mingus Texas. Lance had the opportunity to book a once in a lifetime hunt at the Greystone Castle Sporting Club, and Orvis Endorsed Wingshooting Resort!
Lance bagged a number of pheasants and other stalked birds, making his hunt one to remember!
We know Frank Foster, the musician. We know Frank Foster, the Oilfield Man. And we know Frank Foster, the outdoorsman. When Frank isn’t on the road rocking a town near you, and isn’t in the Gulf helping fuel the country, he tries to spend as much time in the great outdoors as possible. Finding some free time, Frank was able to bag these two longbeards in just two days! To make the harvest even sweeter, the second turkey he took down had a double beard! Definitely not something that a hunter sees every day!
A HUGE shout out to Frank for living the Oilfield Camo way of life! Work hard, hunt harder, and KEEP DRILLING!!!
The weather looks like it’s finally starting to warm up here in the Oilfield Camo Nation, even if just a little bit. That means the fish freaks are finally able to take to the rivers, lakes, and creeks and toss a few lines with hopes of a bite. This week’s Trophy of the Week comes to us from local guy, Chase, who is as passionate about fishing and hunting as he is about cooking. I guess they don’t call him “Chef Bowfreak” for nothing! In his own words, Chase tells us about his trip to Toledo Bend where he managed to land his largest bass to date!
“Saturday morning was the first time on the lake this year, and I got with my buddy to do some sight fishing cause the bass were moving up on the beds. When it comes to sight fishing for bedded bass, Bruce is the man to have in your boat. We saw this fish in about 3' of water on the edge of a deep creek channel and put the power pole down. He flipped a couple of times with a black and red tube and got her mad and ready to eat the next thing that touched her bed. I pitched in, bounced the tube a couple of times, and that big sow inhaled the jig and thats when I set back on her and the fight was on. She took a little while to turn but managed to get her in the net waiting at the boat. She weighed in at 6.74lbs and is my biggest bass to date. This technique for catching big fish is one for the very patient, cause sometimes it will take over an hour to make them eat. Just another great day on Toledo Bend Reservior with my oilfield camo gear!”
Great job, Chase! Thanks for sharing the great story with us. We are proud to have been part of your biggest bass trophy to date! KEEP DRILLING!!!

Down here in Acadiana, many of us outdoorsmen display the skill sets passed down to us from generation to generation, courtesy of our Cajun roots. Our ingenious ancestors taught us to be able to live off the land, foraging and hunting some of the most demanding terrains that this country has to offer. Part of that necessity has created the tradition of frogging. From corner to corner of the Atchafalaya basin, frogs are hunted by hand, with little more than flashlights and the reflections from the moon to guide their way. Sometimes referred to as “gigging,” the hunting of frogs takes a sharp eye and a fast set of reflexes. Frog hunters set out in their boats with their flashlights panning the water, looking through the lilies for the pairs of eyes reflecting their lights. This is the most common way to spot the frogs, which time has proven to be GREAT to eat.
With the Louisiana season coming quickly to a close (April and May), Jimmy and his crew set out to make the most of the remaining frog season. It’s not uncommon for hunters to bring in multiple dozens of huge frogs in a single evening. Luckily for Jimmy, this hunt was no different. Raking in almost two dozen frogs alone, the hunt was successful to say the least. So with the Atchafalaya Basin reaching its flood stage, the Oilfield Camo team will have to hang up the rubber boots and wait until the re-opening of the frog season at the start of June. Thanks for the great shot, Jimmy! And KEEP DRILLING!!!
Here along the Gulf Coast, there is certainly no shortage of opportunities to throw out a line. Our numerous fundraising fishing tournaments offer the opportunity for us to enjoy a little time on the water that we might not have had otherwise, while trying to help our communities and those in need. The 18th Annual Louisiana Oilman’s Bass Invitational is one of these many opportunities.
Wearing his Oilfield Camo Weatherproof Jacket, Lucas Lipari wasn’t worried about the weather at the Louisiana Oilman’s Bass Invitational. Even though Louisiana is known for its REAL heat while on the water, for the invitational we saw conditions of 42 degrees with winds blowing at 20 knots, not uncommon for this time of year out at Toledo Bend Lake. “Good thing that jacket was in the truck!” Lucas told us the opening morning of the invitational.
Holding tough out there despite the piercing winds, Lucas landed his first catch of the tournament with a little help from his Oilfield Camo Weatherproof apparel! Great to hear from you Lucas! Keep the stories and photos coming! KEEP DRILLING!!!
If there’s one thing that we know, being members of the Oilfield Camo Nation, it’s that work almost always comes before recreation. Luckily, those hard days at the job make the time spent away all the better. We got a chance to hear about Elliot and his buddies’ chance to get away from the work world and spend some time deep in the Atchafalaya Basin.
Elliot, along with his friends Casey and Bron got the opportunity to head out to the houseboat, deep in the Atchafalaya Basin. For those not from the area, the Atchafalaya Basin is one of those areas untouched by the world around it. Bears, deer, bobcats, and many other prized game call the basin home.
While out for the weekend, Elliot and the crew decided to set out the catfish float lines. For as long as they’ve been here, the Cajuns who have called this area home have utilized these lines while living off the land. Letting them sit out over night, Elliot and the guys headed out early to check and see what they had snagged. After sorting through a couple of lines, catching only a couple of non-keepers, Elliot came up on one of their final lines. It was a good sign to feel some fight against the line when he reached into the muddy waters of the basin. With nothing but his bare hands and the line attached to the fighter at the other end, Elliot pulled in this HUGE catfish… definitely a keeper!
Even though the Cajuns have come a long way from having to live off the land for survival, we in Southwest Louisiana enjoy heading out and reliving our roots. This is as good an example as any of them. Congrats, Elliot, and thanks for the great shots! KEEP DRILLING!!!
Team Oilfield Camo was proud to take part in the 2013 Tuff Hedeman Rodeo alongside our good friend, Frank Foster. The annual event is known to showcase some of the best bull riding that the sport has to offer, and this year’s rodeo was no exception. In addition to the rodeo events, Frank Foster took the stage and treated the crowd to a performance that only Frank Foster and his band can offer!
The crew at Oilfield Camo was proud to present Frank Foster and his fans with a line of exclusive Frank Foster/Oilfield Camo gear which was unveiled and made available at the show for the very first time anywhere! Frank and Team Oilfield Camo got a chance to meet some great people, watch some unbelievable bull riding athleticism, and enjoy a party that only Frank Foster could inspire! Thanks to all who came out, and we look forward to the 2014 Tuff Hedeman Rodeo!
Brand New for the spring 2013 season, Oilfield Camo is proud to introduce our brand new line of graphic tees! Whether your choice of game are elusive waterfowl, massive trophy bucks, strutting longbeards, or vicious hogs, we’ve got something for you! Represent your industry with the only camo pattern that represents YOU… Oilfield Camo!
For this week’s Trophy of the Week, Team Oilfield Camo has a very special guest appearance. If there is anyone who knows Real, Tough Hunting Apparel, it’s our good buddy Scott Bachmeier. Scott can regularly be found Rockin’ the Bakken up in the Dakota Wilderness. Whether he is tracking pheasant, stalking ‘yotes, or laying down trophy white tails, his gear has GOT to be tough! That’s why Scott made sure to grab his Waterproof Oilfield Camo Jacket before he hit the plains to thin out the nuisance that is the wild coyote population.
When Scott isn’t getting the most out of the great outdoors, he’s hosting his daily outdoor radio program, Dakota Prairie Outdoors Radio. Scott can be heard on K-FYR in the Great Northern Plains, covering everything from the hunting and fishing industry, to real life accounts of his very own hunting trips, Scott is ALWAYS on the cutting edge of not only what’s new, but what WORKS in the outdoor industry.
In addition to being a great region for hunting and wildlife, North Dakota’s Bakken Oil Formation is one of the fastest growing oil producing regions in the United States, outpacing its previous growth with each passing reporting period. The BOOM of the Bakken region has not only helped curb the regions unemployment, a phenomenon felt by a large swath of the country, but also helped to provide North Dakota with more than a BILLION DOLLAR budget SURPLUS! That gives a whole new meaning to Drilling=Jobs!
We would like to thank Scott for testing out the Oilfield Camo line in some of the nations premier hunting grounds!
We offer our patients a comfortable, spa-like, peaceful atmosphere as well as state of the art dental technology. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and ability to be a team player and contribute to the success of the practice.

This week’s Oilfield Camo Trophy of the Week is definitely a West Texas Wall-Hanger to remember! For Michael, the weekend’s hunting trip was one of Firsts and Lasts, marking the end of the 2012-2013 deer season. But along with that, he and his crew came away with quite a haul!
Over the weekend, Mike was able to land his very first bow harvest of the season, bringing down this massive 11 point Texas Trophy Buck! Not to be outdone, his wife Ashley was also able to harvest a great-looking 8 point of her own! All in all, the crew was able to bag a total of four wall-worthy Texas Bucks! Now THAT is a way to wrap up the season! Congrats to Michael and his entire crew!
This week’s Trophy of the Week is a real holiday celebration, all the way from the DEEP south in Cypremort Point, Louisiana. Meaning “Dead Cypress” in French, Cypremort Point is a demanding hunting terrain, dominated by coastal marshlands. The region is known for not only its recreational camping and fishing, but for its hunting bounty as well. It was of great importance to the Chitimacha Native Americans that called the area home, and even served as one of the great landmarks of their tribal lands.
These rich hunting grounds were the destination of this week’s Trophy Winner, Andre. Visiting family over the Thanksgiving Holiday, Andre is currently a student at Louisiana State University. After enjoying a holiday dinner with his family, he set out to see if there were any deer to be had before nightfall. Andre made the trek and was surprised to have this great buck walk right out in front of him, not long before setting up in his stand. This great trophy was truly a reason for Andre to give thanks during this year’s holiday season.
Great Job Andre! If YOU would like to be featured as this week’s Trophy of the Week, simply send us a picture of you with your harvest, wearing your Oilfield Camo Gear! Just fill out the form below and you could win FREE Oilfield Camo Swag. KEEP DRILLING!!!

It has always been the goal of Oilfield Camo to develop partnerships and opportunities with organizations and individuals who are doing great things for the outdoor community. Team Oilfield Camo had the opportunity to meet with Cris Herrera who is currently serving as the 2013 Royal Rangers National Shooting Sports Program Ambassador. In addition, Cris is the 2013 Representative for Brownells and is the NRA Youth Shooting Sports Ambassador as well!
At the young age of 17, Cris is an awesome example of accomplishment, sportsmanship, outdoorsmanship, and more. Not only does Cris take part in numerous recreational shooting and sporting events, but also donates his time to a number of worthy causes ranging from tornado relief efforts, and local community outreach in the form of volunteering at a local non-profit. He works three days each week at Food Net, an organization that reaches out to needy families in the community, offering them food and other services.
Aside from his charitable accomplishments, Cris is also an avid sportsman, claiming awards and medals at a number of shooting events and competitions hosted by the Royal Rangers, FCF, JROTC, NRA Postal, and many many more. Additionally, Cris is a hometown boy from Lafayette, Louisiana, born and raised right down the highway from Oilfield Camo’s home base.
Oilfield Camo is proud to be the camouflage sponsor of Cris Hererra, and is proud to support him in all of his hunting, fishing, and charitable efforts. Cris, KEEP DRILLING!!!

It’s that time of year, ladies and gentlemen. The time of year where the calls of migratory birds coming in from overhead is no longer a tease, but is a reason to get your heart pumping. This week’s trophy comes to you from the marshes of Louisiana, from our friend Cody who is an Oilfield Man himself. He and his hunting friends hit the fields in an attempt to hit their limit of specks. The details below are his own words on their opening day experience.
“We loaded our gear onto the 4 wheeler and headed to the blind. We got to the blind, unloaded the bike, and Mr. Craig took off to hide it as me and Jacob put out our decoy spread. Once we finished up, we all got in the blind and checked the time. It was 6 am, and shooting time was in 2 minutes. By the time we got situated and loaded up, it was time. I stood up to look around and heard the sound of my first flock of the season and they were coming towards us. I started calling and had them locked up. After a few passes, the group of about 10 specks was making their last pass over the blind and we cut loose dropping 4. I picked them up and the first bird to hit the dirt of the year had a band on it, and it was claimed by Mr. Craig. As soon as I got back in the blind another group was headed right our way. We worked them right in after just 2 passes and killed 3 out of the small group. That gave us 7 birds, 1 shy of our limit. Before I could get back in the blind, another group was already almost over the us. I hurried and jumped in and started calling. This time, it was a big group of about 20 birds, all calling and cutting up. Once they made that final approach, we turned Mr. E.P. loose to finish off the limit and he dropped one on the first shot. I checked the time and it was 6:13 AM, an 11 minute hunt. We didn’t even have time to enjoy our satsumas during the hunt!”
Congrats to Cody and the rest of the crew! Great Job, and be sure to pack your lucky Oilfield Camo every time! Do YOU have a great story and picture of your Oilfield Camo hunting experience? Send it in, you could win FREE Oilfield Camo Swag!
Do you remember your very first buck harvest? Many of us remember exactly where we were, the weapon we used, and some can even still picture the event in their minds. Few hunting memories stick with a hunter like taking down their very first deer. This season, Alex got just that opportunity. This big Texas Buck was QUITE the first harvest for Alex; and he did it all while wearing Oilfield Camo! Alex sent us an excited email describing his hunt, tying it all together by saying, “Thanks to Oilfield Camo! It helped me shoot my first buck!” We are thrilled to have been involved in Alex’s very first buck harvest! Hunters old and new trust Oilfield Camo… Do You?
Send us YOUR picture and story of you and your trophy and YOU could be our very next Trophy of the Week! Just fill out the form below and you could see yourself on our homepage, as well as win FREE Oilfield Camo Gear! Good Luck!
