Our Client is one of the largest integrated energy companies in the world, they are currently seeking a Pipeline Engineer who will be responsible for carrying out the following functions:

Experience: Experience within a Major Capital Project.
Preferred Skills: Exercise a high degree of independence. - The ability to interact effectively with a variety of joint venture, project management and contractor personnel is essential. - Must be flexible, goal-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work with minimal supervision. - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all levels both internally and externally.

Job Description: The Export Pipeline Package Project is currently in Phase 2, with pipeline pre-FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) activities continuing for the first half of 2012. Pipeline FEED is anticipated to commence mid-2012. FEED is likely to occur in Aberdeen, but could also be executed elsewhere in the UK. Relocation to the FEED location may be required. During 2012 and 2013 it is likely that some level of international business travel to Main Facilities FEED location or elsewhere will be required during the normal course of FEED engineering, stakeholder engagement, vendor visits, etc.

Key Job Responsibilities : - Responsible for all activities pertaining to design, procurement, fabrication and HUC of the export pipeline (and coordination / interface with other functional teams) - Interaction with many different stakeholders and interface parties in the local area (Aberdeen) - Build beneficial relationships with local stakeholders, operators and the main FEED is essential - Assist the Export Pipeline Package Manager with defining and implementing the export pipeline execution plan. - Overall accountability and responsibility for engineering, procurement and construction of all export pipeline. The Pipeline Engineer - Pipeline will be required to work extremely closely with the Subsea, FPSO, Installation and HUC Managers, as well as the Project Manager - Facilities and Commercial Manager. This will require regular travel to, and video/teleconference with, the main FEED team location.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred in Mechanical, Petroleum, Civil, Marine, Material or Electrical engineering.

Deputy Engineering Manager

Our client a global EPC contractor is seeking a Deputy Engineering Manager to further develop its positioning on the Middle Eastern Market within their operation in Qatar. The operation supports LNG engineering projects within both Greenfield and Brownfield sites.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager your purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate and manage the engineering and design of the client projects, pulling together multidisciplinary engineering teams and maximising their effectiveness within the organisation.

Your day to day duties would include:-

*Organising and directing all engineering forces in project organisation of solutions
*Coordinating engineering matters with the client and subcontractors
*Obtains the client's approval for field design changes
*Establish Design Engineering Procedures
*Participates in weekly project meeting with client
*Assures development of complete engineering records for the project record
*Authorizes requisitions for materials and subcontracting in regard to technical matters.
*Ensures that engineering work proceeds in accordance with the quality assurance plan.
*Prepares the disposition plan for non-conformance items, in coordination with the QA/QC Division and authorizes disposition after approval by the client

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate broad experience in Oil & Gas Brownfield and Greenfield processing facilities ideally with EPCM contractors and with Middle East experience. The candidate must be able to demonstrate success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size projects. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate the following:-

*Experience in all design/engineering activities.
*Proven ability to influence and mentor others in safety principles and behaviours.
*Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
*Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.

*A high level of computer literacy.

An experienced Site Operations Manager from the chemical or oil and gas sectors

-Day to day responsibility for the plant management with Blend Supervisor and possibly Production Manager reporting to him

-The Site Operations Manager will work with and report to the Operations Director
-Responsible for all aspects of quality control and a production improvement programme aimed at improving efficiency and quality. Responsible for ISO9001 certification (we are already certified so this is an ongoing task)

-Responsible for ISO14001 ongoing certification (again we are already certified so this is a maintenance task)

-Implementation of health and safety policies and ensuring that the site operations are carried out in a safe and responsible manner

-Importantly the Site Operations Manager will have the skills to implement improvements in efficiency and quality and work with the operations team at grass roots level, ensuring that all operatives understand changes required, and diligently implement and carry them out

- this is a key requirement and it is important that the successful candidate can handle firmly

-Responsible for staffing of the operations function

-Responsible for site maintenance requirements being met

-The Site Operations Manager will be expected to be visible on a daily basis out on site to encourage direct interaction with the operations team

-Ability to meet tight deadlines at short notice - (we are not looking for a clock watcher here, but someone that will put the hours in when we need it, and motivate the operations staff to do similarly)

-Degree qualified in an appropriate related discipline

KEY PURPOSE
Managing a multi-discipline team of QC Engineers, Inspectors and NDT personnel at the Permanent Fabrication Yard for Piping and Structures. Its scope includes pre-fabrication of modules for Oil & Gas projects; consisted of piping, steel structures, electrical and instrumentation, in Basra Iraq.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the establishment of a fully documented quality system in line with ISO 9001:2008 covering Engineering, Procurement, and the totality of Fabrication activities up to delivering the pre-fabricated structures and modules.

-Ensure that work is carried out fully in accordance with the quality standards specified in the Contracts/Purchase Orders.

-Establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators

-Maintain and execute a quality audit schedule to ensure effectiveness of the Yard's quality system.

-Coordinate external inspection agencies when required.

-Keep close liaison with the Clients with regard to all QA/QC issues during all phases of work execution.

-Check purchase and sub-contract requisitions and evaluate vendor's and Sub-Contractor's quotation with regard to inspection matters, as applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc Engineering or equivalent. HND or equivalent could be accepted if accompanied with strong professional qualifications and experience.
-Candidates with Civil Engineering or E&I background only, will not be considered.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
- Experience as a QC Engineer/Manager post in oil & gas related projects and permanent fabrication yards.
-Experience in modularised fabrication and installation projects will be considered as a plus.
-Proven managerial skills.

This is a great opportunity to work with a leading service provider to the Oil and Gas industry, as a member of their core crew you will be responsible for carrying out the inspection of all instrument systems, PPM in general, and repair and calibration of instrumentation. You will be required to conduct tests of equipment and assist Plant Operator to ensure safe and efficient instrument operation.

Main duties will include:
*Repairs, calibrates and maintains platform instrumentation systems
*Monitors platform master charts to establish possible instrument malfunctions
*Conducts and reviews the results of tests run in control room and ensure their reliability and accuracy
Review/maintains accurate and current records of meter co-efficient
*Conducts special tests on platform instrumentation as required
*Ensures the installation, calibration and testing of platform instrumentation is conducted in accordance with Company requirements and statutory Government standards.
*Ensures the required supply of spare parts are available, prepares and requisitions items required.
*Maintains and updates records and reports
*Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop and work sites
*Check out work covered by commissioning/acceptance documentation to ensure systems are as outlined/operational and signs documentation to this effect
*Put forward suggestions and develop modification requests as necessary to improve plant/equipment efficiency/safety operations
*Cover F&G Maintenance
*Demonstrate competence at a fundamental level through training and experience and pursue completion of Project-specific training and competency requirements in liaison with onshore and offshore support specialists
*Observes Company safety rules and regulations, including permit to work and complies with same

You will have previous experience of working as an Instrument Technician in an offshore environment, with a NVQ level 3 in Instrument and Control Maintenance (or equivalent trade qualification). You will also need to have a current valid Survival, MIST and Medical.

Senior Structural Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior PMC Civil / Structural Engineer to join a Project Management Team based in Cairo. Applicants should have experience in a PMC role.

Primary requirements:

- The successful candidate will oversee the EPC contractor and so work on a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) basis. As such it is crucial that you have substantial Civil / Structural experience within the Oil & Gas industry.

- The successful candidate should in addition to having technical expertise, possess strong leadership / negotiation skills. The position will involve interface with the contractor's engineers. Candidate will be required to ensure the client's project specification are observed by the Contractor and be able to provide strong technical opinion.

Other requirements:

- Membership of a professional body and Chartered Engineer is highly desired.
- Active CPD.
- Extensive experience in Oil & Gas or related industries.
- Proven PMC experience.
- Overseas experience is essential, experience in the Middle-East / Egypt will be desirable.
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Green and brown field experience, desert location
