We are Public School, a new gastropub style full-service dining concept that is getting to ready to open in early summer of 2013 in Westlake Village. We currently have a Public School next to Daily Grill in Downtown Los Angeles that according to The Squirrel Co. We are seeking an energetic and highly talented Sous Chef to join our opening team at Public School.

Our Sous Chefs are responsible for:

Responsibilities:

* Hiring, training and discipline of kitchen Team Members
* Reviewing and evaluating all kitchen Team Members
* Responsible for all kitchen administration
* Responsible for cost control
* Works with Culinary in developing additional menu items
* Ensures consistency and portioning of all food
* Responsible for in-restaurant purchasing
* Ensures a clean and sanitary kitchen
* Ensures upkeep, repair and maintenance of all kitchen equipment

Required Skills:

* Experience in all stations on the line
* Has great decision making skills
* Has superb organizational skills
* Knowledge of correct portions and positions on plates
* Able to order and receive
* Proactive, punctual and a great communicator (must read, write and speak English)
* Must be committed to our mission and culture

Required Experience:

* Must have at least 2-3 years experience as a working Sous Chef or Assistant Kitchen Manager, in an upscale casual or gastro pub style restaurant
* POS and Office computer software experience

Responsibilities:

? Set-up and operate Sunnen hones (manual and power stroker) to hone inside diameters on various sleeves, bodies, bushings and other precision parts in accordance with Blueprints, and Manufacturing Outline specifications.
? Set-up and operate Federal and Standard air gages, Sunnen gages and mikrokators.
? Knowledge of proper mandrels, stones, speeds, strokes, abrasive paper, laps, and abrasive compounds to achieve Blueprint and M.O. requirements.
? Ability to correct such conditions as taper, bellmouth, and "barrel" in through and blind holes.
? Lap inside diameters of various precision parts to achieve required size, straightness, roundness and finish.
? Lap fit slides to sleeves with precise diametrical clearances.
? Ball lap various seats to precise tolerances.
? Deburr slides and sleeves to proper specifications.
? Thoroughly clean parts of all honing oil and lapping compound.
? Be responsible to see that calibrated equipment is returned to Metrology Lab prior to the calibration due date.
? Collection of SPC data as dictated by the Production M.O. and process control plan.
? Participation in and support of Hone, Lap and Grind Team activities.

Education and Skills:

? High School degree required with some post high school machine tool or machining related courses desired.
? Must have 2 years prior experience as a hone and lap operator.
? Working knowledge of honing and lapping processes, materials and precision measuring instrumentation.
? Ability to read and interpret Blueprints and Manufacturing Outlines.
? Must work well in a team environment.
? Knowledge and training in Statistical Process Control and Total Quality Management beneficial.
? Good working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and basic math.

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform daily administrative functions to support all areas of the operations team including incentive application process, field operations, inventory tracking and support.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Run periodic reports for management including status reports for incentives, installations, new opportunities, support performance, etc.
2. Verify newly closed opportunities have all needed documentation to initiate the incentive application process.
3. Build information in Salesforce for general site information, incentive details, equipment details, survey, installation and testing details.
4. Complete all required incentive application documents and prepare overall incentive package for appropriate utility.
5. Coordinate and participate in various meetings with utility companies and third party companies.
6. Track and report on progress of all incentive applications.
7. Contact customer sites to coordinate surveys, installations, maintenance visits and testing.
8. Answer incoming office calls and perform duties related similar to a receptionist.
9. Order office supplies, book conference rooms, help in preparation and setup of all operations functions, meetings, etc.
10. Assist in creation, modification and maintenance of operations related processes.
11. Process items for shipping via USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc and perform proof of delivery follow up.
12. Assist with any needed travel bookings of hotel, flight, car for operations personnel.
13. Prepare expense reports for traveling operations personnel.
14. Be available to work required overtime as scheduled.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Technical skills:
1. Computer literate; proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
2. Working knowledge of Salesforce, Visio and Sharepoint a plus.
3. Familiarity working with utility companies a plus.

Performance skills:
1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Self-starter with exceptional telephone etiquette.
