Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position will have general responsibility for accounts payable, and accounts receivable entries and reconciliation tasks supporting the Finance Manager. This individual will perform all accounting responsibilities including reconciling activities for various accounts, producing scheduled financial statements, creating ad hoc analyses and reports, and other tasks and assignments as directed by the Finance Manager.

General Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and analyze financial statements.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure consistent and timely invoice coding.
- Complete and review depository bank reconciliations.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Maintain an organized filing system to support research and audit requests.
- Research and explain material variances to management and field operations.
- Acquire, maintain and share strong understanding of general ledger activity and the related accounting process and entries.
- Perform budget review and analysis.
- Foster an environment of integrity and stay on alert for any breaches of integrity that are encountered.
- Provide continuous training for all members of the team in order to develop and maintain the best tem of professionals in our industry.
Background Experience
- A Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
- Must have at least 5 years GL/AR/AP experience preferably within the medical industry. Must have knowledge of commonly-used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must be able to prepare excel spreadsheets and to generate, write, read, analyze and utilize the general ledger of accounts and to perform a variety of operational accounting activities.
- Experience with ERP Accounting Software

- Independently performs multiple routine assignments and special projects.
- Reads, writes, interprets and acts on a full understanding of Accounting and Financial Reporting procedures, plans, forecasts, budgets, schedules and time limited work.
- Must be able to communicate in writing, trough generation spreadsheets, emails and financial statements for internal management use.
- Perform work under time schedules and stress, which are normally periodic or cyclical
