This role is for an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor whose focus would be to act as the 'commercial and contractual guardian' of our tendering activities. The successful incumbent will work with our bid managers, estimating team, procurement team and others involved in tendering activities to provide contractual and commercial input to our tendering activities and subsequent negotiations. *To establish pre-contract contractual relationships with partners where required *Initial reviews of terms and conditions and other ITT documentation *Preparation of qualifications, clarifications and limitations (commercial memorandum) *Close liaison with the Procurement team to ensure suitable enquiry packages are issued *To present tender submissions to potential clients where requested and to play a full role in contract negotiations *To be able to appreciate and undertake post contract commercial duties if necessary *Strategic with good risk awareness
Qualifications / experience:
*Degree qualified in QS or Commercial discipline (HNC/HND qualified candidates with significant appropriate experience may be considered) *Current SC level security clearance is preferred though not essential. Clearance will be sponsored by the Company and all candidates MUST be eligible for SC clearance *Knowledge and experience of partner contractual relationships (including join ventures) to both tenders and for delivery of major projects *Clear previous experience in a busy tendering environment preferably acting on behalf of a main contractor or major subcontractor *Demonstrable experience of supply chain management *General appreciation of commercial issues in a design, build and decommission environment *Commercial involvement in tendering in a similar environment (3) *New Engineering Contract (NEC) experience / experience of other fixed, target and reimbursable forms of contract (2) *Knowledge of generic tender submission issues and ability to provide suitable qualifications, limitations and clarifications (3) *Experience in contract negotiations as well as experience in drafting contracts to cover collaborative relationships with partners (2) *Ability to interact effectively with our clients and the extensive internal tender input interfaces (2)

Our client, a large subsea and pipelines contractor are looking for a Subsea Systems Engineer to join their team in Staines.

Job Overview

Our client is one of the world's largest and most innovative pipeline, subsea engineering and management contractors, with 30 years experience and approximately 1300 professional staff located in a global network of 10 offices on 4 continents.

Their requirement is for a Subsea Systems Engineer who will work as part Integrated Group on one of our major offshore and subsea design projects.

The job will be located in our London (Staines) office.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working within an active project team and would be required to take a lead role:
-Ensuring compliance with project philosophies and operability requirements.
-Performance of lessons learnt planning and implementation of results.
-Co-ordination of input into the project BoD's.
-Maintenance of field architecture, field layouts and system drawings.

The work will be of a diverse nature and the engineer's responsibilities and duties will evolve as the project progresses.

Experience Required

The engineer who preferably should be degree qualified and working towards chartership and should have experience in one or more of the following areas of offshore engineering:

-Subsea pipeline design.
-Subsea architecture and layouts.
-Subsea equipment design / requirements.
-Offshore construction / installation.
-Commissioning and operations.
