Job Purpose:
- Take full accountability for 'Cradle to Grave' safe delivery of projects under your control
- Take strategic direction from the Programme Manager
- To deliver projects to agreed cost, schedule, quality and safety targets
- To act as deputy for the Lead Project Manager as required

Role and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate safety leadership by example.
- The management and delivery to the Target Cost Estimate (TCE) for projects under your control.
- The management and delivery to the Project Schedule for projects under your control, ensuring clear and achievable targets are set for all project phases.
- Ensure a clear and approved work-scope is in place for each project under your control.
- Create and manage a live Risk Register to identify potential threats to the project Scope of Work, TCE and Schedule from inception to close out and handover.
- The management and delivery of the PMP (Plant Modification Process) for projects under your control to completion and handover.
- Organise and chair regular meetings ( formal and informal ) with the Asset, engineering, procurement, planning and the construction teams to ensure integrated and cohesive solutions are developed and agreed by key stakeholders.
- Management and co-ordination of vendors and sub-contractors for projects under your control.
- Ensure projects within your control meet or exceed the contract Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Provide input to project improvements and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

You:
You'll be BSc, BEng, HND or HNC qualified, or have equivalent, relevant experience. You'll be an experienced Project Manager with extensive knowledge of project delivery in refinery, petrochemical or offshore related projects. Self-motivation and the ability to effectively influence the Project Team, subcontract personnel and vendors will be key attributes. Must also be capable of interfacing with the Client at senior level in an effective and professional manner.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large independent chemical company. As an Asset Engineer you will provide discipline engineering expertise and support to the asset in delivering plant integrity and availability. This post is based on the Finnart Ocean Terminal on the west coast of Scotland. The terminal handles large crude oil and product ships, and has significant storage facilities.

Candidates should have experience of the following:
Knowledge of theory and practice of managing equipment reliability systems and processes e.g.
asset care
Strong understanding of discipline legislative and technology requirements and demonstrated
ability to appropriately translate to equipment inspection/maintenance regimes
Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
An understanding of design and maintenance of rotating equipment
An understanding and working knowledge of industry engineering codes and standards covering these types of equipment is essential

You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, and be a Chartered engineer. You will also have experience of working in the oil/gas or petrochemical-manufacturing environment, with experience of working as a discipline engineer.

Responsibilities

§ Support the delivery and maintenance of consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project.

This is an opportunity for a strong Petrophysicist to join a growing Geoscience team of a leading operator based in London working on west African and North Sea assets.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience:-
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in physics, geology or petroleum technology

Build CPM, logically driven construction schedules at various stages of the project life cycle. Specific emphasis is placed on Final Investment Decision (FID) and Issued For Construction (IFC) schedules.
Analyze schedule logic, activity durations, constraints, float, resource loading, etc. Review critical path(s). Level resources as needed to support project constraints

The ability to link detailed engineering and construction schedules with activities to build a complete integrated project schedule.

Provide assurance on schedules submitted by contractors according to the project guidelines.
The ability to use prior project knowledge to build conceptual schedules is preferred.
The ability to develop a schedule risk analysis component of the schedule assurance process.

Understand and use the IPA scheduling metric tool to improve schedule predictability. Incorporate IPA recommendations regarding scheduling into current scheduling process.
Help develop, maintain, and revise scheduling templates that incorporate all project phases.
Help collect and report scheduling information quarterly to support development of the KPI stoplight charts.
Perform analysis to track deltas between planned and actual dates and durations. Create a statistical understanding of planned data versus actual outcomes.
Assist in progressing construction schedules in accordance with the approved progress measurement strategy.
Participate in field walks to validate scope.
Help develop / update schedule procedures and work processed as necessary.

PMC Project Manager - On & offshore projects

The client, a leading Engineering & Management contractor, due to a new five year PMC project award now need a highly experienced PMC Project Manager to head up the team in Abu Dhabi. The client operator intends to embark on various projects to maintain existing facilities and enhance oil/gas production from its main reservoir incorporating, producing, water injection, observation, gas injection and gas lift wells. Represent the safety team at kick-off meetings, progress and design review meetings for the project or change proposal designs
Preparation of CTR estimates for the safety engineering studies
Delivering quality, cost effective and timely engineering services in a demanding environment of change, short interval planning and conflicting priorities
Reporting progress against schedule to the Head of Safety

Senior Flowline/Spools Engineer

Our client, a large subsea and pipelines contractor are searching for a Senior Flowline/Spools Engineer to join their team in Staines.

We are seeking a Senior Flowline/Spools Engineer to join the project team supporting subsea activities on Angolan developments.

The candidate will be working within an integrated team as part of BP Angola Block 31 Gas Export System project comprising flowline and subsea tie-ins to existing infrastructure.

The project activities will be split between Sunbury, Staines and Sutton working in the client or contractor offices in the short term. In addition there may be a requirement to travel within the UK and overseas depending on the role. Duration is likely to be at least 1 year.

Although not essential, there will be opportunities to work overseas, including Angola, in support of the procurement, fabrication and installation activities, planned from Q4 2012 through to Q1 2014.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

-Verifying compliance to Company's specifications and technical documentation
-Interface with client's own equipment, systems and pipeline engineering teams as required
-Co-ordination of verification processes for design, manufacture and qualification testing techniques to be employed
-Review of contractor/vendor design reports, drawings plus other documentation and verification of the proposed designs
-Review of flowline and spool design.
-Review of installation methods
-Understand testing strategies (FAT/EFAT/SIT) and installation requirements

Experience Required

The candidate should have experience encompassing the design, fabrication, installation of subsea flowline systems including reeled flowlines, flowline termination assemblies/pipeline end terminations, protection structures and rigid spools. Previous experience in a supervisory role for a client is preferable but not essential.

The candidate should have experience and knowledge in as many of the following as possible:
-Pipeline operation, integrity management & pigging requirements
-Pipeline detailed design including experience in using analytical software
-Tie - in and in - place analysis for connecting spools.
-Connector/clamp assemblies for offshore and subsea applications
-Detailed Design and operability of wye pieces.
-Familiar with Industry Standard Design Codes for Offshore pipelines, Marine Operations and Lifting
-Corrosion protection systems
-Material selection
-nterfaces with subsea architecture equipment, components & tooling
-SIT testing and site testing activities
-Interaction with installation vessels
