Fast paced organization is searching for a Staff Accountant to join the team!

Summary: This position applies principles of both accounting and finance within the Corporate Accounting group to help the accounting close, analyze financial information, and prepare financial reports by performing month end close, treasury, finance, and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting duties.

General Accounting

? Monthly accounting close:

? Monthly close analysis, journal entries and account reconciliations for areas including departmental accrued liabilities, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany, cash and intangibles

? Monthly close analysis, journal entries and account reconciliations for subsidiaries

? Coordinate financial accounting and reporting requirements for equity accounts including non-controlling interests, stock-based compensation and equity transactions

? Assist in documentation, development, and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls

? Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit process.

? Ad hoc analysis/projects as needed

Reporting

? Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages and financial statements

? Monthly accrual analysis

? Account variances and financial statement analysis comparisons to budget, forecasts and prior year.

Requirements

? Degree in accounting/finance required

? CPA candidate preferred

? Minimum 2 years relevant accounting experience in public accounting or within a company

? Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

? Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and resolve issues accurately and timely

? Team-oriented, accountable, flexible, detail-oriented, organized

? Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
