Trainee Draughtsperson

My Client are looking to hire a college leaver with either a HNC, HND or other similar qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or design engineering to fill a Trainee draughtsperson position at their factory which is based in the Midlands, with good access to the surrounding countryside.

The successful candidate will have been trained as part of their qualification to use CAD/CAM software (preferably RADAN or Unigraphics) and they will have a good understanding of product or tooling design and improvement within a heavy duty vehicle manufacturing environment.

Any hands on experience of Agricultural Machinery, Plant Machinery, Car or Motorbike fitting/designing would be advantageous as would any direct hands on welding or machining experience.

This role would suit a recent College graduate with a flair for engineering who are looking to advance their career with a leading company. Mechanical Fitter (Workshop)

We are currently recruiting for a number of mechanical technician's to join our client's workshop based fabrication workshop. This is to support a large growth in projects and the ideal candidate will have experience in such an environment before.

The projects revolve around fabrication and creation of offshore modules which are then installed on offshore asset's. Please note that you will not need current and valid offshore certificates for this position, but experience in such a position or environment would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have experience in;

A range of mechanical processes and methods used within a workshop fabrication environment.

Welding to either a MiG or TiG standard within such an environment and industry on the mechanical fabrication side.

Experience of hydraulics and how they are related to a mechanical lifting, raising, lowering and stiffening.

As an additional benefit for this position, the client is willing to put people through their offshore courses and to take them offshore to do the modular installation on various assets for willing candidates.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Static Equipment

Our client, a leading Engineering and management contractor, due to a new five year PMC project award now needs a Mechanical Engineer ( Static Equipment ) to join their PMC team in Abu Dhabi. The operator intends to embark on various projects, on & offshore, to maintain existing facilities and enhance oil/gas production from it's main reservoir incorporating, Producing, Water Injection. Observation, Gas Injection and Gas Lift wells. The overall mission of the PMC team is to manage the EPC contractors deliverables through FEED to Construction Commissioning and final handover stage. In terms of the Static Equipment content this would encompass, the design & selectionof static equipment and packages including Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Columns, Boilers, Separators and Heat Exchangers to the applicable codes and standards i.e.PD550 / ASME V111 / TEMA / BSEN1405 / BSEN12953.
Suitable candidates will be Degree qualified (Mechanical) with a minimum ten years post graduate experience with at least three years in a Consultants organisation. Preference will be given to those with previous middle east experience. Preference will be given to Indian and Asian candidates.

Reliability Technical Authority - Subsea Pipelines

Our client, a global engineering and management contractor in the oil & gas industry are currently engaged in numerous large subsea pipeline projects in many challenging locations worldwide including the north sea, arctic, West Africa, Mediterranean and the Caspian Sea. They now need a Lead Reliability / Integrity engineer to act as Technical Authority to ensure a consistent and high quality approach to Reliability, Integrity and Risk Management across the whole company portfolio. Suitable candidates will be Degree qualified engineers with at least ten years post graduation experience in the subsea industry in a similar position. You must have familiarity with the application of API 17N in reliability management during design and manufacture of subsea equipment and have produced and maintained a risk register along with having experience in the use of FMEA/FMECA and RAM modelling. You will be based from their offices in the Middlesex / West London area but some travel may be required.

Marine Operations Superintendent - AHTS Vessels

The client a leading provider of marine services in support of major oil & gas developments, now having established a new office in the region, now need an Operations Superintendent to join them in Brazil.The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all allocated vessels ( mainly AHTS ) are manned and operated in line with current legislation, flag state, class and company requirements and that all charter parties are serviced in line with agreed terms. Being the principal point of contact with the client, during the term of any charter, you will develop and seek to improve operations and related policies in consultation with other line managers.

Responsibilities

To build on the current capabilities of our Canadian based team we are currently seeking experienced Cost Specialists/Engineerts for works across various projects including a major developments in the region with our Industry leading clients.

- Deliver consistent but appropriate cost management structures for major, complex projects.
- Roll-out of the emerging Company standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project's life cycle development & execution phase.
- Provide project management support in the development of cost breakdown structures (CBS) and their population from the estimate.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and document Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets for phased cost estimates in line with the Company guidance notes for agreement and sign-off by the CTR budget holders.
- Provide project guidance for creation of accurate monthly cost reports, identifying variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes and currency fluctuations against approved Authorities for Expenditure (AFEs).
- Develop and implement the change management process for projects.
- Provide guidance on trend analysis and the assessment of change impacts on cost.
- Participate in peer reviews and other Assurance events.
- Contribute to the development of junior staff through coaching and training in cost engineering practices, tools and techniques.
- Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project teams.
- Maintain consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to the controls processes.
- Drive and raise awareness of the importance of developing the cost management structure in early project phases.

Skills / Experience Required

Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Engineer or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-5 years industry experience in lead cost engineering positions
Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
Experience in managing small teams of junior personnel.
Fully versed with Cost Control principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

Coordinate assigned day to day activities and manage scheduling work load with contractors.
Build CPM, logically driven construction schedules at various stages of the project life cycle. Specific emphasis is placed on Final Investment Decision (FID) and Issued For Construction (IFC) schedules.
Analyze schedule logic, activity durations, constraints, float, resource loading, etc. Review critical path(s). Level resources as needed to support project constraints

The ability to link detailed engineering and construction schedules with activities to build a complete integrated project schedule.

Provide assurance on schedules submitted by contractors according to the project guidelines.
The ability to use prior project knowledge to build conceptual schedules is preferred.
The ability to develop a schedule risk analysis component of the schedule assurance process.
Participate in the interactive planning meetings for projects requesting final investment funding as part of the assurance activity.
Understand and use the IPA scheduling metric tool to improve schedule predictability. Incorporate IPA recommendations regarding scheduling into current scheduling process.
Help develop, maintain, and revise scheduling templates that incorporate all project phases.
Help collect and report scheduling information quarterly to support development of the KPI stoplight charts.
Perform analysis to track deltas between planned and actual dates and durations. Create a statistical understanding of planned data versus actual outcomes.
Assist in progressing construction schedules in accordance with the approved progress measurement strategy.
Participate in field walks to validate scope.
Help develop / update schedule procedures and work processed as necessary.

Skills / Experience Required

Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planning / Scheduling Engineer or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate some industry experience in planning positions.
Good written and oral communications.
Good working knowledge of Planning principles and techniques and Primavera P6.
6-8 Years Experience in Oil and Gas
Must be eligible to work in Canada

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Wells Operations Manager to work for a global leading Oil and Gas company. As a Wells Operations Manager you'll be responsible for the execution and delivery of Wells activities in the field, to achieve project objectives within the North Sea.

The Role
As the Wells Operations Manager you'll report to the VP of Wells Engineering as the focal point for the day to day safety, technical, operational and execution of all drilling, completions and intervention operations. You'll also head up the pre tender qualifications; bid preparation, analysis and contract executions. You'll ensure compliance with international standards (API, IADC and ISO) and well control and emergency response policies during well execution. You'll manager rig and third party contractual relationships to deliver success through performance management and you'll coach and mentor, Drilling / Completion / Intervention staff to ensure appropriate development and career progressions.

You
Ideally you'll be educated to a degree level within a relevant discipline or you'll have the equivalent relevant experience within a Wells Management position. Ideally you'll have previous experience of Well Operations Management and you'll have experience of managing third party contractual relationships. Additionally, you'll hold an IWCF certificate and will have experience of coaching and mentoring staff.

HVAC Manager

KEY PURPOSE
The HVAC Manager Afghanistan will manage the cost effective and efficient functioning of the Maintenance Department as required by operations. This will include ensuring availability of all HVAC equipment and staff whilst upholding maintenance requirements to meet contract objectives whilst upholding a first class service to customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-The effective management of all staff and facilities and ensuring optimum efficiency & service to the Client

-Maximize asset utilization

-To ensure that all regulations relating to the safety of equipment are adhered to

QUALIFICATIONS
-Relevant industry related qualification

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
-Previous work experience / Managing a team of HVACR Technicians, Hold a valid Driving License and in-depth knowledge of Reefers / industrial cooling systems.

-Ability to meet tight deadlines and to ensure all work schedules are met as required
-A good command of the English language in order to effectively liaise with customers
-Proven ability to work in remote arduous locations
-At least 3 years' experience as a HVACR Maintenance Supervisor
-The ability to keep meticulous records of all HVACR maintenance related matters

Subsea Manifold Engineer

Our client, a large Subsea and Pipeline contractor are searching for a Subsea Manifold Engineer to join their team in Staines.

Our client is seeking a Subsea Manifolds Engineer to join their project team supporting subsea activities on Angolan developments.

The candidate will be working within an integrated team as part of a project comprising flowline and subsea tie-ins to existing infrastructure.

The project activities will be split between Sunbury, Staines and Sutton working in the client or contractor offices in the short term. In addition there may be a requirement to travel within the UK and overseas depending on the role. Duration is likely to be at least 1 year

Although not essential, there will be opportunities to work overseas, including Angola, in support of the procurement, fabrication and installation activities, planned from Q4 2012 through to Q1 2014.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

?Verifying compliance to Company's specifications and technical documentation
?Interface with client's own equipment, systems and pipeline engineering teams as required
?Co-ordination of verification processes for design, manufacture and qualification testing techniques to be employed
?Review of contractor/vendor design reports, drawings plus other documentation and verification of the proposed designs
?Review of piping design, including valves, tees, wyes, connectors, etc.
?Review of foundations design, in support of suction caissons, gravity systems, etc.
?Understand testing strategies (FAT/EFAT/SIT) and installation requirements

Experience Required

The candidate should ideally have experience in the design, fabrication, installation and testing of subsea manifolds, PLET's, FTA's, foundations & anchor systems.

In particular a specialist either in foundations or manifold piping is sought.

Experience and knowledge in some of the following:

?Pipeline operation, integrity management & pigging requirements
?Use of analytical packages such as SACS, Caesar, FS2000 or similar
?Piping design
?Foundation & support structure designs
?Installation of subsea manifolds, PLET's and structures for deepwater applications
