Bauer's Intelligent Transportation is the leading full service provider with the largest diversified fleet in Northern California. We are looking to add new diesel mechanic to our exciting team, one who is energetic, motivated, creatively talented people with outstanding mechanical skills. The ideal candidate will be a key members of the company's growth as we constantly expand.

We are looking for a Skilled Diesel Mechanic for both our Los Angeles Fly Away and Union Station locations. The primary duties will be to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of a diverse fleet of vehicles - buses, shuttles, and other diverse vehicles. This may include overhauls, diagnostic work, electronics, brake jobs with or without air assist , DOT Inspections, and HVAC.. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TOOLS AND BE CAPABLE OF OPERATING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT WITH SKILL. WE PREFER TO HAVE PEOPLE WITH COMMERCIAL CLASS A/B LICENSE WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT & AIR BRAKES. Experience with full size coaches is a big plus.

Basic Duties and qualifications include, but are not restricted to some of the following:

Assist in the machining of parts for automotive equipment and machinery according to specifications.
Prepare necessary records pertaining to work performed, computer skills a big plus. Must be computer literate.
Perform Diagnostic checks/repairs on air brakes and suspension systems.
Assist in maintaining inventory of equipment, supplies and materials.
Follow a predetermined preventative maintenance program on buses, trucks, cars and other power driven equipment.
Strong knowledge of electronic diagnostics and principles.
Must be self motivated and able to work without supervision.
Due to 24/7 operation, must have flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:
Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a high school education with course work in skilled crafts or trades.

Experience:
Work requires a practical knowledge of heavy and light automotive mechanical equipment maintenance normally acquired through 4 years of automotive repair with an emphasis on full size coaches and shuttle buses. Professional Training and certifications is a must.

This position is responsible for supervising, directing, and overseeing warehouse personnel to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of labor, materials, and assets. The supervisor is responsible for developing and directing his/her team in order to achieve departmental and organizational goals, specifically the warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

The supervisor will need to develop and/or implement any new procedures that would help alleviate or eliminate production or product issues. He/she must be process driven and be familiar with Lean Management methodology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Must possess the ability to lead and develop a team of 5-10 individuals into a highly skilled and focused workforce.
* Ability to maneuver workforce as needed in order to complete daily assignments
* Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
* Complete, compile and gather shift reports, Team sheets, and daily requisitions for utilization of reporting Associates productivity.
* Communicate with Warehouse Manager or Production Supervisor regarding any Warehouse issues
* Training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
* High School or GED required
* Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Minimum of 2 years Lead or Supervisory experience preferably within the furniture industry
* Knowledge of OSHA regulatory compliance handling hazardous and/or flammable materials

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Individual must be dynamic and always prepared for constant change in job description as the company continues to expand
* Must be able to work in fast-pace environment with a sense of urgency if necessary.
* Must also be able to work overtime when necessary.
* Ability to prioritize workloads for crew and organize work flow effectively
* Ability to analyze, consolidate and interpret data
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and adhere to Company policies
* Ability to bend and lift (materials) from floor level to a height of 6 ft. to place them on shelves/on and off vehicles/list other locations
* Ability to comply with safety procedures
