HR Development Manager

Overview of Role

A requirement for an Human Resources Development Manager has arisen within the Electricity Alliance.

Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable to the HR Manager and be responsible for:
-Managing the Alliance Performance Development Review process, ensuring that all development needs for Alliance employees are collated into an organisational training plan for costing and prioritisation.
-In conjunction with the HR Manager, put together The Alliance training budget for salaried staff to be put forward as part of the yearly target cost. Once agreed, manage the budget and prioritise training and development needs in conjunction with Alliance Management Team and service heads.
-Researching and maintaining a database of training providers and ensuring that the Alliance gets maximum return on investment.
-Ensuring compliance with NG TP Authorisation processes to ensure that all Alliance personnel that require competence achieve the necessary authorisations to act in their role.
-Preparing monthly reports for inclusion in board level documents.
-Delivering internal management development training programmes and co-ordinating the external 5Cs programme ensuring that mechanisms are in place to make sure the learning is deployed within the individual's role and the impact measured and reported on.
-Maintaining and managing the EAW Talent Management Programme - Elevate, providing personal development and career coaching sessions for individuals on the programme.
-Working with the Alliance Management Team to update succession plans and nominations for targeted Talent Management. In conjunction with Departmental Heads formulate and action development plans to target succession needs and skills shortage areas.
-Undertaking any Projects as outlined in Personal Development Review Process
-To be pivotal in the Business Transformation project, writing and delivering training programmes which is required to support the business cultural change.

Experience Required

The successful candidate should posses the following:
-Excellent training and presentation skills for a range of group sizes and audience types.
-Good negotiation skills to deal with external training providers.
-Best practice knowledge of organisational development methods, strategies and processes.
-A good level of experience in a Learning and Development role.
-Must have an enthusiastic and positive attitude to the aims of the HR Team in providing a first class service to the business.
-Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
-Full clean Driving Licence.

We are seeking two experienced Operations Support Engineers to work for a leading provider of District Heating Schemes in the UK. You will be responsible for the Operational, Performance and Contractual support to the Operations Director for UK Business activities

You will be degree qualified (Or equivalent) in a relative Business or Engineering subject with significant experience in supporting Operational and/or Engineering functions within a similar business in the Utilities or Power Generation sector.

Duties:

o Make a direct contribution to the achievement of business objectives and EBITDA [profit] targets
o Support the Operations Director at an operational and strategic level in order to deliver excellence in all operations functions
o Make qualitative analysis of the reporting and performance of operations contracts
o Support the Contract Managers in developing and meeting key performance indicators and contract compliance measures
o Assist in financial modelling, forecasting and reporting
o Undertake specific continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the operations function
o Support specific operational teams to deliver improvements within challenging timescales and environments
o Implement business decisions and strategies at all levels within the operations function
o Support the operations function in specific and ad hoc projects
o Build and sustain effective relationships with Clients, ensuring reporting requirements are met or exceeded

Key Deliverables against Which Performance Will be Measured

o Identify and deliver cost savings to the business wherever possible
o Internal and External Customer satisfaction
o Delivery of all projects to agreed deadlines and budgets
o Ability to respond pragmatically to varied business needs

Introduction...

We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with international experience to run a highly prestigious project for a specialist contractor on a multi Million pound project at Jeddah Airport Saudi Arabia, a two year contract away from flooding Britain!

Our award winning client offers a complete design, installation and management service across the full range of systems that make up the external building envelope.

Their work ranges from stand-alone roofing and wall cladding projects to partial or complete building envelope solutions incorporating glazing and architectural features, ensuring careful design and management of all the interfaces, and as such require a Contracts Manager with a wealth of experience running external Envelope packages internationally.

The project involves construction of a 670,000m2 terminal with 94 aircraft bays. The terminal will include 46 additional departure gates, 96 airway bridges 200 new counters, a luggage-handling system, five passenger lounges and a 56-room hotel.

The second part, worth SR11.97 billion, will see Saudi Binladin build a 133m airport control tower, the world's tallest control tower, alongside an 8,200-capacity car park, three power generation and cooling centres, data administration centres, infrastructure and road networks.

Other features of the new airport will include tunnels, corridors, train stations and communications systems; new taxiways, aprons, roads and support facilities.

What you will be doing...

As an experienced Commercial Manager you will need to have a wealth of knowledge on external envelope packages (essential) ideally with previous experience in Saudi Arabia or a minimum of 3 years international experience, some of the responsibilities of this role are as follows:
* Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs
* Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
* Coordination of work effort
* Advising on a range of legal and contractual issues
* Valuing completed work and arranging for payments
* Oversee a team of Quantity Surveyors

What will you need...

Previous experience as a Commercial manager ideally on External Envelope Packages

International experience (ideally Saudi Arabia or Middle East)

Able to commit to a two year contract
