My client is a very ambitious service company to drilling contractors and operators. They are looking for a Sales Manager to run their Gulf of Mexico region and develop their business in that area. Ideally they are looking for an out and out sales person with a proven track record of success in the industry. Specific training on their products and services will be provided. The primary role of the Sales Manager is to achieve revenue goals for assigned regions/accounts with a primary focus on the Houston market.  In addition, a Houston-based Senior Delivery Manager will be available for sales engineering and proposal support when needed. The position will report to the VP of Global Business Development.

Responsibilities:

Quota Attainment

• Achieve personal revenue targets and support the attainment of team revenue targets. • Maintain a rolling sales pipeline that is 3-5X the quarterly quota target.

Account/Territory Management

• Identify, develop, close and sustain business in assigned client accounts. • Build trusted advisor relationships within client accounts at all levels. • Understand & respond effectively to most technical questions from prospective clients. • Effectively convey my client's risk reduction concepts at all levels. • Work closely with the delivery team to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Leadership

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal teams such as marketing, finance, and delivery. • Actively support the goals, mission and business principles of the company.

Administration

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client, activity, and pipeline data in Salesforce. • Improve service capabilities by providing client feedback to marketing and delivery. • Maintain accurate administrative reports; submit all reports on time.

Requirements for the Position:

• Proven record of sales success, consistently meeting or exceeding objectives. • Engineering or professional services sales experience. • Excellent communication, consultative selling and negotiation skills. • An entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, and a strong work ethic. • Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Preferred Characteristics:

• Basic technical understanding of equipment control systems and a desire to learn more. • Technology-related degree or equivalent work experience. • Five of more years' experience in, or with, the upstream oil & gas industry. • Sales experience and relationships with drilling contractors and operators.

Job Summary:
Under moderate direction, applies engineering skills to provide innovative and cost effective design and development solutions requiring the development of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products. Duties:
- Assists to develop and commercialise products.
- Participates in the origination of new technologies and low cost innovations that maintain the companies technical leadership position
- Prepares cost estimates and continually analyses variables in design

- Ensures commitments are agreed, reviewed and met. Ensures final product meets the needs as defined by project
- Under moderate direction, designs testing procedures and coordinates with others to perform tests.
- Conducts tests, documents test results and develops client presentation
- Ensures field and/ or customer support. Assists in designing proper testing procedures to verify problems as well as solutions
- Provides user training for developed products
- Identifies and keeps abreast of novel technical concepts and markets
- Incorporates safe work procedures in all aspects of the job while maintaining a safe work -environment
- May direct or assign the work of technicians
- May participate in recruiting
- Travel as required to Field and/or Client Locations

Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- BS in Engineering or Sciences
- MS in Engineering or Sciences

Experience:
- Evidence of practical experience in the relevant discipline gained through academic studies or work experience.
- Evidence of genuine interest in chosen field, outside of university studies.
- Computer Skills/ Computer Programming
- Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Product Development Skills, including design.

Nuclear Industry – securing business from new & existing customers

My client are a nuclear specialist covering both civilian and defence sectors across the complete lifecycle; from new build, through operations & maintenance, to final decommissioning & waste management.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sales & Marketing Division iofthe North West for a Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing business from new and existing customers and will design and champion marketing strategies. To ensure success, working closely with business development, proposals, corporate communications and operations departments is essential.

Outlined duties will include:

• Build relationships with key clients • Develop opportunities from the prospect stage, via pre-qualifications and tenders, to successful contract award, project execution and satisfied customers • Develop/prepare annual marketing plans • Work with Bid Managers and Operations staff in making bid/no-bid decisions and prepare detailed strategies for tenders and contribute to tender preparation. Understand and be familiar with competitors and key suppliers • Maintain knowledge of clients’ intentions, programmes and budgets to assist in the Company’s forward planning • Manage development activities to make effective use of the marketing budget • Ensure adherence to pre-agreed strategies • Ensure that costs put forward by operational departments are reasonable and approved for use • Able to organise and lead effective presentations • Competent at championing prospects and gaining agreement of stakeholders
