KEY PURPOSE
An experienced Inspector is required for a 3-6 month contract with our prestigious client at their Gloucestershire site. Our client has over 800 sites worldwide providing manufacturing, sales and service to meet the quality productivity and environmental requirements of the energy industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Our client is looking for an Inspector to work on a rotating shift system including nights to inspect product, components and materials to the requirements of the quality system. The key responsibilities for this role include:
- To inspect product, components and materials to the requirements of the quality system, and to ensure the priorities placed upon the department are achieved.
- The identification and reporting of non conforming product.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Inspection experience within a mechanical engineering environmental
- Time server apprenticeship with City and guilds qualification.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Extensive use of mechanical measuring equipment/ instruments and Interpretation of engineering drawings and material specifications. Working to exacting requirements with minimum supervision in a precision engineering environment.

The Shift Operations Supervisor has the responsibility to:
* Understand the entire facility and manage its operation in a safe and efficient manner.
* Lead a shift team. Motivate and deliver performance through people and ensure individual & team competencies and capabilities are reviewed, maintained and developed
* Understand, implement, review and maintain KPIs, rules, policies procedures and management systems required by a top-tier COMAH site, regulatory standards and frameworks and accreditation standards such as ISO 14001/OHSAS18001,

* To proactively manage and lead a team including:
* managing the performance and development of operational shift staff.

Perform surveillance, inspection and examinations of equipment and materials purchased by our client or their customers located at fabrication sites.

Monitor supplier technical query and design change control processes. Monitor supplier non-conformance and corrective action processes, and where necessary, raise non-conformance notes and facilitate disposition of non-conforming products and services.
Facilitate review of final manufacturing data reports and inspection release.
Analyze and report on supplier performance for input into supplier re-qualification and management review processes.
AWS-CWI REQUIRED
Requirements BA/BS in related field or applicable discipline preferred, or equivalent years experience. Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures. Generally 15-20 years of experience.
Possesses and is recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise within the department. Interprets internal and external business challenges with impact on the organization and recommends best practice solutions. Contributes to implementation plan development and program coordination.
Advanced proficiency with applicable software applications in related field. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail critical. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to be based between York and Reading offices for a 6 month Contract with the possibility of permanent placement.

Ideally with a good civil /structural engineering degree and with significant experience in industrial structural design.

Experience of fabrication and of gantry crane design desirable with Good civil/structural engineering design office experience essential.

Proficient at computer aided design and good knowledge and experience of engineering design and detailing, covering steel, concrete masonry and timber design, with particular emphasis Steel and concrete codes, particularly for heavy industrial structures, preferably combined with steelwork fabrication/erection experience

Awareness of geo-technical and geo-environmental issues would also be advantageous.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, 3D structural design modelling and analysis e.g. CSC SFrame and Fastrak and Superstress will be needed to be successful.

If successful you will be required to Lead and direct a small group of engineers, graduates and CAD technicians on a range of large multi-disciplinary projects predominantly within the waste and steel markets.

Inspection and assessment of existing industrial structures.

Quality Engineer

My client a blue chip company based in Stonehouse Gloucestershire are a leader in technical solutions to the oil & gas drilling sectors.
Due to continuous growth they are currently recruiting a Quality Technician.

As a Quality Technician your duties will be as follows:
-To investigate product Quality problems and suggest Corrective and Preventive actions to be taken.
-To control the Discrepant Material Report (DMR) process, i.e. to ensure DMR is actioned by all parties in a timely manner;
-To monitor and maintain reports of DMR activity and to ensure Suppliers Corrective/Preventive action is effective.
-To provide back up with the Inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies. Liaise and supervise sub contract measurement where needed.

Qualifications & Skills
-You will be apprentice served, hold an HNC or HND and have previous Quality/Inspection experience.
-Experience of CMM is preferred
-Must be computer literate, able to generate reports from Excel etc.
-Be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to communicate well with Engineers and Suppliers.
-Working on discrepant materials which will involve chasing suppliers and people to avoid future reoccurrence.
-Need to be PC literate to produce excel reports and communicate well with engineers and suppliers

Process Engineer - Onshore Oil & Gas

Our client, a leading Engineering and management contractor, due to a new five year PMC project award now needs a Process Engineer to join their PMC team in Abu Dhabi. The operator intends to embark on various projects, on & offshore, to maintain existing facilities and enhance oil/gas production from it's main reservoir incorporating, Producing, Water Injection. Observation, Gas Injection and Gas Lift wells. The overall mission of the PMC team is to manage the EPC contractors deliverables through FEED to Construction Commissioning and final handover stage.
In terms of the Process content this would encompass, leading the process review / discussions with the owner; handling P&Ids, HAZOP & other Safety reviews for the owner; full participation during performance of optimisation studies by FEED Engineer; overseeing Operating & Control philosophy as well as various control systems & subsystems; co-ordination of equipment packages;handle process simulations & calculations and prepare optimisation reports. When necessary will assist the PMC Project Engineer on Project Mnagement issues. Suitable candidates will be Degree qualified (Chemical or Process) with a minimum ten years post graduate experience with at least three years in a Consultants organisation. Preference will be given to those with previous middle east experience. Preference will be given to Indian and Asian candidates.

Cost Estimator - On Shore pipelines

Our client is working closely with a large oil and gas operator. They now seek a Cost Estimator to join them in Houston, Texas. This role requires specific experience of On Shore Pipelines as a Cost Estimator. You will be responsible for consistent delivery and appropriate cost management structures for major and complex projects. Roll-out of the emerging Company standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project's life cycle development & execution phase. Provide project management support in the development of cost breakdown structures (CBS) and their population from the estimate. Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and document Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets for phased cost estimates in line with the Company guidance notes for agreement and sign-off by the CTR budget holders. Provide project guidance for creation of accurate monthly cost reports, identifying variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes and currency fluctuations against approved Authorities for Expenditure (AFEs). Develop and implement the change management process for projects. Provide guidance on trend analysis and the assessment of change impacts on cost. Perform surveillance, inspection and examinations of valves and materials purchased by our client or customers located at fabrication sites.

Post Responsibilities

The primary role is to act as a Principal Social Consultant, providing competent consulting services to support projects and clients. Other aspects of the role include:

*Evidence of exposure to various environmental disciplines including air, water, geochemistry, noise, biodiversity/ecology and how these relate to socio-economic situations
*Knowledge of the Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards, other international best practice
*Proven track record of bringing projects in on time, within budget and to the clients satisfaction
*Excellent report and proposal writing skills. A second language, ideally French would be an advantage but is not essential
*Strong communication skills with knowledge of working with different communities and cultures
*Proven leadership and team building experience, working self sufficiently also within a team environment

The Background
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Drilling Supervisor / Well Site Leader to work for a global leading Oil and Gas company. Drilling Supervisors act as a pivotal role in leading all activity, HSE, operations and logistics at the well site.

The Role
As the Drilling Supervisor, you'll be accountable for supervising offshore / onshore drilling, completion and workover operations at rig sites. Whilst the majority of the work will be offshore at the rig site, some time may also be required to undertake operations planning and reviews. You'll ensure that all well site drilling and completions activities are carried out in compliance with company practices along with appropriate legislative requirements. Additionally you'll drive continuous improvements through and will coach individuals to enhance their contributions to performance. You'll also monitor all wells personnel and materials movements to ensure that there are no delays.

You
Ideally you'll be educated to a degree or HND level within a relevant discipline or you'll have the equivalent relevant experience within an Engineering role. You'll have enjoyed previous success in a Drilling Supervisor role and demonstrated competence in well design for drilling activities. You'll have experience with operation and safety program issues and you'll have had experience of working with third party providers. You'll be competent with landmark well engineering software packages such as DMIS/Openwells, Wellplan and will have previous experience of drilling for an operator. You'll ideally have an IWCF Well Control certificate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

You will also ideally have experience of the Offshore Oil and Gas industry, with an understanding of Operations and Maintenance.
You will also have a good general knowledge of maintenance techniques, tools and processes, with a good understanding of maintenance strategies and their development.

Role and Scope:

- To implement safe, environmentally sound and efficient well operations.
- To ensure regulatory and corporate policy conformance in all well operations.

- To monitor daily WELLVIEW input to ensure data integrity.
