Site Manager - London - £260 per day

6 month + Contract for a Site manager work on installation of new Bio gas plant and pipeline

Rate:- £260 per day

Location:- Middlesex

Role Description
This role involves running a Bio Gas plant upgrade until the site in complete early 2013. This project is based in Middlesex and needs someone with previous experience running a site with pressurised gas systems in place.

You will be reporting in to a Project manager and your role is to running the sub contractors on site. Dealing with the tool box talks, method statements, risk assessments and ensuring the strict health and safety is adhered to on site.

A background in M&E or Civil Engineering would be considered as long as you have the site management experience and previously dealt with Gas / Bio Gas projects.

Required Experience
Key tickets are SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS and a form of qualification to support your background in either M&E or Civil engineering. You need to start ASAP with a maximum of a weeks notice, this will not suit a permanent employee with a months notice period.

Job Purpose:
My Client requires an experienced Rope Access Business Manager to come on board, to expand the business and promote the Client in the Rope Access Industry.
This is a new and exciting position and the successful candidate will report to the Business Development Director with responsibility for growing the Rope Access Services within the UK and; also supporting the function in North West Europe.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Pursuing and converting business opportunities for Rope Access Services.
- Identifying potential opportunities and ensuring in conjunction with the Business Development Director that plans are in place to maximise success.
- Delivering budgeted revenue and margin for Rope Access.
- Managing risk to business across all Rope Access Projects in conjunction with Senior Project Manager.
- Managing Risk by providing advice and guidance to Project Managers.
- Supporting Rope Access Project Managers - lending expertise to internal teams when appropriate.
- Project managing critical projects to ensure successful completion on time, within budget to acceptable standard and quality.
- Actively participate in promoting the maintaining the Company's high standards for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

You:
You'll hold a recognised Rope Access qualification (level 2 as a minimum) and have a proven track record in sales. A sound experience of Business Development and delivering of Rope Access Services, both onshore and Offshore, You'll have exceptional influential and communication skills and Project Management acumen. A forward thinker, with tactful Client Management ability and a determination to deliver and overcome obstacles, this is an excellent opportunity for the right person to come in and make this role your own and develop the Client's business in Rope Access.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company which focuses on maintaining and extending the life of power plants across the world. As Project Manager you will undertake Project Delivery as directed by the manager of Projects and Engineering.

Key Duties in this role will include:
To undertake Project Delivery as directed by the Manager of Projects and Engineering, to act as the Project Delivery Point of Contact
Direct and manage all aspects of multi-discipline EPC projects from inception through completion
From Sales Handover, define base line scope, programmes and allowances together with the procedures for management of requests for change to allowance/budgets in advance of Project Execution Plan issue
Preparation of the Project Execution Plan for the execution of all project activities in accordance with the Company Business Operating Procedures and specific Client/contract requirements
Develop the organisational structure for a multi-disciplined team from nominated resources essential for the successful execution of the project
Define the policies and processes for clear communications to all parties involved in the project
Manage the preparation and regular update of the Project Schedule against which all project deliverables are monitored and controlled
Initiate and review engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, sub-contract, project operations and site activity to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedule requirements and Company legal obligations
Optimise completion of deliverables, equipment and services for most cost effective shipment to Client's site
Review Project Financial status and manage change control, taking action to mitigate liability for overrun, variations or third party claims
Report progress in compliance with the Project Execution Plan mandates
Assist and support the Sales, Marketing and Proposals initiatives as directed from time to time as a function of Projects Group Departmental duties

The ideal candidate will be qualified in a related engineering discipline and will have experience of working in a mechanical/electrical engineering EPC environment. You will have a proven track record as a Project Manager and in executing multi-disciplined EPC projects from inception to completion.
You will also have site management experience of multi-disciplined site construction, plant installation, testing and commissioning of project work.

Planning Engineer - Calgary, Alberta

We are currently seeking experienced Planning Engineers to deliver and maintain standard, consistent and realistic project plans reflecting the assessed risk parameters for a number of our client's projects. Working closely with one of the world Oil and Gas Majors are a seeking dynamic and motivated professionals looking to make there mark in our rapidly growing Canadian and International business.

Responsibilities

§ Support the delivery and maintenance of consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project.

§ Understand and monitor the interfaces between assigned project sub-elements and other sub-elements.

§ Develop the activities, logic, resources and progress for the assigned project sub-elements.

§ Comply with the planning and progress monitoring procedures.

§ Conduct the schedule monthly progress update, forecast, critical path and trend analyses for assigned elements, including any impact from interface areas.

§ Provide input to the status reports and ensure that these include the incorporation of approved changes.

§ Liaise with project engineering personnel to assist proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.

Skills / Experience Required

Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planning Engineer or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate some industry experience in planning positions.
Good written and oral communications.
Good working knowledge of Planning principles and techniques and Primavera P6.
4-6 Years Experience in Oil and Gas
Must be eligible to work in Canada.

*Contribute with strong regional geology understanding of the UKCS

You will be responsible for:

Evaluate and recommend business opportunities for Growth Exploration from exploration prospects, existing discoveries, and marginal fields close to their operated infrastructure

The successful candidate will have strong geophysical fundamentals with interpretation experience both in regional 2D & 3D seismic, the ability to conduct geophysical interpretations that integrate an understanding of the petroleum system elements, and support palaeographic interpretations as well as the proven ability to generate, prioritise and mature exploration inventory (ideas, leads, prospects), through to investment consideration.

You will be a skilled user with standard geological/geophysical software suites (e.g. Seisworks/Powerview, Geoprobe, Stratworks, Petrosys, and visualisation tools).
