Your responsibilities will be:

• Leads the electric portion of the turn key offshore substation
• Leading technical negotiations with contractors, suppliers and partners and the technical specification drafting
• Management of the transmission system operator (TSO) interface
• Leading technical negotiations with TSO and partners for the development of the technical part of a connection contract intended grid
• Leading grid compliance studies (static and dynamic models)
• Management Interface on all packages
• Definition of important technical requirements of technical specifications
• Total project management requirements such as QA, accelerate, cost control, tracking/add as needed to negotiate claims etc.
• Approval of design in accordance with specific project requires applicable codes, standards, internal norms, standards and regulations.

Your experience and qualifications will:

Electrical engineer with good knowledge in low, medium and high voltage and control/protection technology
Project management skills including contract management
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
• Experience in business of wind energy
• High HSE awareness
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
• Flexibility, good physical fitness and willingness to travel required
• Experience in quality management
• Good ability to liaise with other departments/clients where necessary
• Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English and German

Our client is one of the largest independent crude oil and natural gas producers in the world. They seek with immediate effect an Operations Engineer to be based in Aberdeen. As Operations Engineer you will provide technical support for the West African overseas operation. The main responsibilities will be to provide day-to-day operations support in troubleshooting problems, identify opportunities to optimise production, and detailed planning and preparation of activities in West Africa. The role requires the individual to frequently visit West Africa to deliver and supervise work-scopes during peak activity.


The role is a key interface between in-country/offshore organisations and the Aberdeen organisation in terms of SHE, Production Operations, Facilities Engineering and Integrity Management support.


Duties & Responsibilities to include:-
*Ensure leadership and delivery of the annual SHE plans both for company operated facilities and leased FPSO operations.
*Deploy engineering & operational standards/ procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards within ALARP principles.
*Work with the FPSO representatives and in-country Ops Superintendents to provide day to day support and direction to offshore production operations;
*Provide short- term and long term solutions and undertake operational investigations into operational defects and vulnerabilities.
*Ensure the operating and trouble shooting of process systems to maximise production and minimise cost;
*Develop operational philosophies and/or procedures as required for operations or project works;
*Conduct regular visits to operations locations to lead and supervise work-scopes during peak activity levels;
*Liaise with, and co-ordinate, specialist vendor support for offshore (compressors, subsea controls, etc).
*Provide or ensure provision of, engineering support as required by in country operations - e.g. analysis of failures/downtime, troubleshooting, optimisation, operator aids etc.;
*Initiate and manage 3rd party studies as required in support of operations;
*Participate in HAZOPS and HAZIDS as required;
*Support the start-up and integration of new projects;
*Lead and manage Management of Change and Operating Procedure development and update.
*Direct liaison with FPSO operators to understand and resolve technical matters.
*Anticipate and monitor future Operations requirements on existing assets, prepare operational engineering cost forecast to support budgets and long range planning.


You'll ideally be qualified to degree or equivalent level in an Engineering or related discipline. You'll ideally have a thorough understanding of offshore production and utility systems and previous offshore experience of fixed and or floating facilities. You'll ideally have a good understanding and application of Safety Management Systems and Engineering Practices and understand commercial and financial issues to deliver all works within budget and schedule.

We are currently recruiting for a number of seismic specialized field that QC engineer of work on the basis of rotation 28/28.

The main duties of the role will bring with it;

one) working with seismic contractor company seismic HES, economics, operations and technical related targets efficiency and quality
b) holding of seismic Project Coordinator and work with the seismic contractor company to optimize the seismic contractor work plan and to minimize downtime
c) Supervise gravity, surveying, recording, processing and field operations uphole/refraction profile
d) offer supervision of all field operations including country to allow access and verification of the status of permits and compensation for damage caused by the inclusion of every seismic line
e) offer daily technical supervision of the seismic activities including monitoring and QC of all instrument tests of the recording equipment on a daily and monthly basis, as well as at the beginning and by the duration of the seismic program
f) verify the condition of hydrophones, geophones, cables and recording equipment ensure test values and results are within manufacturer specifications and quality standards company
g) ensure the monitoring and understanding of both explosive and vibroseis acquisition including procedures and technical QA tests/QC of vibrators
h) QA/QC all aspects of acquisition including surveying, seismic data uphole/refraction profile recording, recording and processing field
i) to reveal company per seismic line: field record evaluation (low energy, parity errors, noise level, positioning errors, frequency content), sledge/source point moving, jumps/receiver point move, dead spores, displaced persons or restored shots and all other factors that affect the quality seismic data and control
j) participate in and recommendations for acquisition parameters on the basis of test parameter for both explosive and vibroseis source including peak particle speed tests and analysis
k) position quality control to ensure that company work standards and industry best practices are followed
l) perform daily review and QC of the geometry of the survey in which all company-approved changes and to ensure that all proposed changes are made according to company land seismic specifications and the technical requirements of the survey design while reducing risks and exposure to personnel and equipment
m) review shot point cards, test reports and end of field activities/operations of the company presented by the seismic contractor
n) strictly monitoring compliance with environmental standards and regulations, archaeological conservation and monitoring of the application of the conditions and the recommendations of the Environmental Management Plan for the seismic program
o) HES support company operations
p) Supervise day-to-day activities of the company appointed field HES Advisor
q) supervision of the fulfilment of the conditions of any country seismic contract held by company and verify equipment and staff are met or exceeded the specifications of the contract
clearly communicate with representatives of the company r) in the field and with company staff in different offices

The ideal candidate will hold a certification or equivalent or expertise in Geology/Geophysics

The Role:
Due to a strategy by my client to further itself in it's market the need has arisen for a strong, technically able Development Engineer to enter the business and help them realise their ambitions. This site in West Yorkshire is a pivotal part of operations assisting in the manufacture of products including valves which are then supplied to the petro-chem and oil and gas industry. In this role you will be expected to provide technical solutions, modifications and improvements to both the design of products and manufacturing procedures themselves. You will be responsible for prototype and production testing of products which will be carried out by technicians. In addition it will be imperative that you provide advise on the viability of specs passed down by the sales teams, and where needed, provide solutions to problems that arise.


Required Experience:
In this role it is vital that you possess strong 3-D AutoCad skills and design skills. In addition candidates whom have a strong knowledge of valves will have a distinct advantage over those who do not. As well as that candidates need to be technically astute however if you are confident, comfortable with clients with strong communication skills then you really will have the edge.
