Job purpose:
Responsible for all planning deliverables for assigned Projects / work within an Offshore Projects contract.

Responsibility -
*Functionally accountable to Lead Planning Engineer within a specific Offshore Projects contract or Planning Team Lead, as applicable.
*Provision of day to day planning support the Project Engineers/ Lead Discipline Engineers to help ensure the successful delivery of all work within assigned project(s)
*Development and production of Planning deliverables such as Gantt Charts, Network Diagrams, S-curves, Histograms and tabular manhour reports
*Implementation of best practices and planning system / tools user guidelines
*Development and production of Integrated Engineering and Construction Plans at various levels for assigned Project(s)
*Production and communication of planning deliverables for assigned project(s)
*Regular liaison with Asset Planners and attendance at Asset Planning meetings
*Close liaison with cost, estimating and procurement departments
*Understanding of project team and client reporting requirements and expectations including performance measures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
*Deputise for Lead Planning Engineer responsibilities, as required

Technical Assurance -
*To monitor and develop the competence of subordinates in the form of mentoring and coaching
*Provide guidance to the project(s) in maintaining appropriate professional standards for project execution
*To ensure that the technical work undertaken is consistent with the Discipline's professional standards for the relevant project(s) technical complexity
*To ensure that the project generated documentation reflects a fit-for-purpose design and compiles with the contract requirements
*Promote awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality aspects of discipline of work to achieve fit-for-purpose engineering

Qualifications and Experience -
*degree/HND/HNC qualified or equivalent Planning experience and training
*planning experience in the Oil & Gas industry
*Technical capability
*Good communication skills

Consultant Petroleum Engineer

OPC requires 2 consultant Petroleum Engineers to form part of a full subsurface production team to be based in Southern Iraq on a 28/28 day rotation. The project will focus on operations and field development of the super giant Rumaila Field.

• Work with subsurface and operations teams to drive and optimize production
• Evaluate, develop and maintain up to date inventories of production enhancement opportunities in existing wells.
• Identify and justify value adding operations in existing wells, e.g. well interventions, work-overs.
• Build, maintain and use appropriate petroleum engineering tools, e.g. multiphase flow models.
• Work with subsurface and drilling teams to optimise completion design for new wells and work-overs.
• Responsible for supervising the management of production data, identifying, justifying and implementing improvements.
• Interface with operations personnel, to ensure subsurface requirements are delivered, e.g. during well operations.
• Collaborate with and provide expertise to colleagues and management, on acquisition and utilisation of petroleum engineering hardware and software and special projects.
• Take an active role in reservoir and management strategy development.

- Middle Eastern Experience is required
- 15+ years experience

Quality Engineer

My client a blue chip company based in Stonehouse Gloucestershire are a leader in technical solutions to the oil & gas drilling sectors.
Due to continuous growth they are currently recruiting a Quality Technician.

As a Quality Technician your duties will be as follows:
-To investigate product Quality problems and suggest Corrective and Preventive actions to be taken.
-To control the Discrepant Material Report (DMR) process, i.e. to ensure DMR is actioned by all parties in a timely manner;
-To monitor and maintain reports of DMR activity and to ensure Suppliers Corrective/Preventive action is effective.
-To provide back up with the Inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies. Liaise and supervise sub contract measurement where needed.

Qualifications & Skills
-You will be apprentice served, hold an HNC or HND and have previous Quality/Inspection experience.
-Experience of CMM is preferred
-Must be computer literate, able to generate reports from Excel etc.
-Be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to communicate well with Engineers and Suppliers.
-Working on discrepant materials which will involve chasing suppliers and people to avoid future reoccurrence.
-Need to be PC literate to produce excel reports and communicate well with engineers and suppliers

Prime responsibilities and duties

Carry out work in accordance with the client's and project Healthy, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.

Maintain the required technical quality or work.

Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process.

Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations.

Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.

Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline.

Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review.

Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary.

Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project.

Process Engineer - Onshore Oil & Gas

Our client, a leading Engineering and management contractor, due to a new five year PMC project award now needs a Process Engineer to join their PMC team in Abu Dhabi. The operator intends to embark on various projects, on & offshore, to maintain existing facilities and enhance oil/gas production from it's main reservoir incorporating, Producing, Water Injection. Observation, Gas Injection and Gas Lift wells. The overall mission of the PMC team is to manage the EPC contractors deliverables through FEED to Construction Commissioning and final handover stage.
In terms of the Process content this would encompass, leading the process review / discussions with the owner; handling P&Ids, HAZOP & other Safety reviews for the owner; full participation during performance of optimisation studies by FEED Engineer; overseeing Operating & Control philosophy as well as various control systems & subsystems; co-ordination of equipment packages;handle process simulations & calculations and prepare optimisation reports. When necessary will assist the PMC Project Engineer on Project Mnagement issues. Suitable candidates will be Degree qualified (Chemical or Process) with a minimum ten years post graduate experience with at least three years in a Consultants organisation. Preference will be given to those with previous middle east experience. Preference will be given to Indian and Asian candidates.

Cost Estimator - On Shore pipelines

Our client is working closely with a large oil and gas operator. They now seek a Cost Estimator to join them in Houston, Texas. This role requires specific experience of On Shore Pipelines as a Cost Estimator. You will be responsible for consistent delivery and appropriate cost management structures for major and complex projects. Roll-out of the emerging Company standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project's life cycle development & execution phase. Provide project management support in the development of cost breakdown structures (CBS) and their population from the estimate. Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and document Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets for phased cost estimates in line with the Company guidance notes for agreement and sign-off by the CTR budget holders. Provide project guidance for creation of accurate monthly cost reports, identifying variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes and currency fluctuations against approved Authorities for Expenditure (AFEs). Develop and implement the change management process for projects. Provide guidance on trend analysis and the assessment of change impacts on cost. Participate in peer reviews and other Assurance events. Contribute to the development of junior staff through coaching and training in cost engineering practices, tools and techniques. Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project teams. Maintain consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to the controls processes. Drive and raise awareness of the importance of developing the cost management structure in early project phases. You should have an Engineering Degree or similar or certification as a Cost Engineer / Estimator or have equivalent experience. You must have a minimum of 6 - 12 years industry experience in lead cost engineering positions. Have excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. Have experience of managing small teams. Have the right to work in the United States of America and specific experience doing Cost Estimation on onshore pipelines.

In this role, you will play a major role in the structural engineering and design of brownfield work for large modules/topsides for offshore oil & gas platform facilities, in the Gulf of Mexico. You will take a hands-on role in the design and analysis of structures as well as providing supervision/guidance and coordination to junior engineers and designers.

You will have previous experience in the engineering of decks and modular units for offshore oil & gas platforms, including the design and analysis of topsides, appurtenances and related secondary structures.
You will also have experience with and be familiar with SACS, AISC APR RP2A softwares and processes applicable to offshore structural designs. You will have full knowledge of analyses for Inpace, Loadout, Transportation, & Lift and will also be familiar with offshore engineering/fabrication practices and trends.

You will be degree qualified in Civil/Structural engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer is preferable, along with offshore experience.

Valve Inspector - Manufacturing

Perform surveillance, inspection and examinations of valves and materials purchased by our client or customers located at fabrication sites.
Organization of meetings, detailed technical reporting on the results of activities.
Monitoring and tracking of project Action Items, NCR's, scheduling and documentation including development of inspection reports.
Complete Close-out Evaluations and Supplier Evaluations.
Determine areas of potential improvement in supplier quality management processes. In conjunction with the Supplier Inspection coordinator ensure that customer quality management requirements and concerns regarding supplier performance are being identified and managed effectively.
Review of contract terms and specifications to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements and prerequisite verification and certification requirements.
Undertake and/or coordinate technical review of supplier data submissions typically including; quality plans, process and personnel qualifications and manufacturing records and certification.
Chair or attend and record pre-inspection meetings when specified by the Supplier Inspection Coordinator and follow-up implementation and close-out of agreed actions.
Witness of supplier process and personnel qualification tests in accordance with specification requirements.
Witness/review of supplier (first party) inspection and test activities and records in accordance with specification/code requirements in accordance with approved inspection and test plans.
Competently undertake and document (second party) inspection and test activities as specified in approved inspection and test plans.
Facilitate customer or independent (Third Party) verification activities as specified in agreed inspection and test plans.
Monitor supplier technical query and design change control processes.
Monitor supplier non-conformance and corrective action processes, and where necessary, raise non-conformance notes and facilitate disposition of non-conforming products and services.
Facilitate review of final manufacturing data reports and inspection release.
Analyze and report on supplier performance for input into supplier re-qualification and management review processes.
AWS-CWI certification preferred
Requirements BA/BS in related field or applicable discipline preferred, or equivalent years experience. Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures.
Possesses and is recognized as an expert within area of Valves. Uses best practices to solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges. Participates in plan implementation. Independently works through individual projects and/or plays key role in broader projects. Relies on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems.
Proficiency with applicable software applications in related field. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail critical. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are critical.
