Drilling Senior Rig Supervisor - Brunel - Houston, TX
The Drilling Rig Supervisor will develop functional specifications and support preFEED assessments / FEED activities for fitforpurpose Arctic rig designs; Potential rig concepts include Gravity Based Structure, JackUp, FLoaters (Drillship, AxiSymmetric) and /or modification of existing harsh environments rigs.
Minimum 10+ years operations experience, with 35 years in harsh environment floating drilling operations. Prior Arctic experience is preferred. Competent in deepwater operations and subsea equipment. Prior rig construction experience preferred (i.e FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning) Proficient in the operating and construction characteristics of all components utilized in the drilling and completion system and be knowledgeable about alternative systems and procedures which might be implemented to improve operational efficiency. Highly developed communication skills and proficient in typical Microsoft computer based applications, Russian language is a benefit.

Summary
The Floorhand is a crew member supporting and assisting other members of the drilling crew during rig operations, with guidance and instruction.
Specific Responsibilities
Assists Driller, Derrickhand and Motorhand in day-to-day rig operations
May work on the rig floor during trips, connections and surveys
Carries out housekeeping tasks around the rig such as: washing and painting, digging and cleaning ditches, shoveling shale, handling and measuring tubular goods
Reports and, under supervision, corrects any unsafe work practices and safety hazards
Assists and performs tasks as instructed by more senior crew members in such duties as: rig servicing, mixing mud
Works as a team member with the rest of the rig crew

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solar plane leaves Texas for St. Louis
Solar-powered plane to take cross-country flight
GRAPEVINE, Texas — A solar-powered plane that spent more than a week in North Texas has departed on the third leg of its cross-country trip.
The Solar Impulse took off early Monday from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport bound for Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
It’s the first attempt by a solar plane capable of being airborne day and night without fuel to fly across the U.S.
The plane left Northern California on May 3 and landed the following day in Phoenix. The Solar Impulse departed Phoenix on May 22 and landed a day later in Texas.
The plane flies about 40 mph. The Texas to St. Louis leg is about 560 miles.
The rest of the schedule includes Dulles International Airport near Washington and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
