Principal process engineer

Role: Principal process engineer
Location: North East Scotland
Type: Contract
Duration: long term
Rate: negotiable

Job purpose:
Implement process discipline engineering activities within the budget and planning, maintain technical integrity.

Main goals and objectives:
-To act at all times in accordance with the policy on health, safety and environmental
-Supervise Graduate and Senior process engineers
-Shall ensure that all assigned tasks are properly addressed
-Ensure that the client business drivers and company performance incentives are fully understood by all staff discipline is checked
-Ensure the technical integrity within discipline

Role and responsibilities:
-Achieving safety standards as defined in personal performance contract
-Responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the working methods and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
-Carry out in accordance with the relevant systems of health, safety, environment and quality
-Possibility of discussions and run meetings with customer engineers
-Possibility of groups in the development of studies and Front End Engineering development projects and detailed Engineering projects run
-Ensure that the technical competence of process engineers is tailored to the work in hand
-Maintaining the required technical quality of work produced by staff assigned discipline
-Ensure that the output work of discipline engineers meets the relevant procedures
-Technical assistance to discipline staff as required
-Ensure, as far as practicable, that all assigned work is performed in accordance with the agreed budget and schedule
-Up-to-date with the technical developments, national and international standards and legal requirements in connection with the general thrust
-Assist in the development of the knowledge and skills of the engineers of process, including assisting in the training and technical development of engineers
-The preparation of estimates and assist in the assessment of proposed schemes

Principal Instrument engineer

A worldwide leading service provider in the & nuclear, oil gas and process industry, is looking for an experienced Principal Instrument engineer to add to their growing team. In this role you will find a leading role in the supervision and engineering tasks on some of the major projects that are currently running.

In this role will show you your expertise in field instrumentation, control and safety valve sizing and specification, draft instrument and control system integration and system measurement loop design. Will show you strong leadership qualities, leads a team of up to 15 engineers on multi-discipline projects. You will also demonstrate your knowledge in planning, cost control and change management, as you may be concerned in a number of variable projects.

The ideal candidate will be qualified (or equivalent) in a related engineering discipline, with experience in control and instrumentation. You also have previous experience of working on a senior/principal level within the oil, gas, or nuclear energy sector & engineering. You will also have experience in detailed design of gas and/or nuclear installations, with in-depth knowledge of the requirements of design and prove hazardous area. Experience on security system design, and in dealing with package plant suppliers, with emphasis on control and security system integration to the main plant.

Comissioning field operators-UAE

Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is renowned worldwide as a leader in the design and manufacture of large scale power generation products. Due to major growth they now require a Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Designer to join the team. The successful candidate will ideally have an understanding of design (for manufacturing) in a heavy engineering environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:


1.Produce, modify models and CAD drawings
2.Produce Bill Of Material
3.Design components and assemblies
4.Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other departments
5.Interpret national, international and customer specifications
6.Supervise Design Draughtspersons


Competencies:


1.Computer literate (Inventor preferred but not essential)
2.Ability to understand and analyse issues and generate alternative solutions to meet customer requirements
3.Self-managed
4.Good understanding of engineering practises (Limits and fits, geometrical tolerancing, surface finishes etc)

Draughtsman

Our client are looking for a Draughtsman with plant layout experience to join their team in Stockton-On-Tees.
