Mechanical Engineering

Allied High Tech Products is leading manufacturer and global distributor of equipment for failure analysis, materials characterization and materials research. We are located in the Long Beach, CA area and are known around the world for outstanding design, excellent product quality and superior customer service.

The Mechanical Engineering position will be working with a team of mechanical and materials engineers, assembly technicians and CNC operators to manufacture the products you design. The work is "hands on", fast paced, challenging and enjoyable.

The person for the Mechanical Engineer/Designer must possess the following skills:

Thorough knowledge of SolidWorks 2D/3D modeling.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Standards.
Must have a background in small machine design, including specifying bearings, bushings, motors, drive systems, and fasteners.
Background in machining and machine shop procedures is a plus.
Electrical knowledge a plus.
A self-starter, fast, goal oriented, highly organized, and team oriented. A track record of on-time, design excellence is required.
Mechanical Engineering degree is a plus, however not required with the right experience.
