My client is the world's largest steel producer. They have steelmaking operations in 20 countries on four continents, in both developing and developed steel markets. In 2011, they had revenues of US$94bn and crude steel production of 91.9 million tonnes, which represents around 6% of world steel output.

They are looking for a Senior Highway Engineer to be based in Liberia

Responsibility

The Highway Engineer will take responsibility of overseeing and managing the EPCM Consultant for the design, construction and maintenance of all roads in the Yekepa and Buchanan area.

Qualifications and experience required

*Graduate qualification in civil or highway engineering.
*Minimum ten years experience in highway engineering on projects in remote rural environments in developing countries, particularly Africa.
*Proven track record of implementing road projects to AASHTO, World Bank and other international standards, and the use of FIDIC forms of contract.
*Previous experience as a client managing an EPCM consultant.
*A proven ability to listen, communicate and work effectively with people of different nations and socio-economic backgrounds in a respectful manner.
*A proven ability to enforce high standards and contractor compliance.
*Highly familiar with computers and the use of Microsoft Word and Excel for reports and spreadsheets, and a demonstrable ability to produce a high standard of reports to international standards.
*Fluent in written and spoken English.

Reporting

The Highway Engineer will report to the Project Manager /Project Director and will liaise with the Environmental Adviser and other relevant members of the Company's staff.

We are currently seeking experienced Cost Estimating professionals at all levels for long and short term assignments on major upstream and downstream projects.

Cost Estimator - Houston, Texas

Responsibilities

This position is specifically for ON SHORE pipelines. It is essential all candidates have significant experience estimating projects in this field.

§ Deliver consistent but appropriate cost management structures for major, complex projects.

§ Roll-out of the emerging Company standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project's life cycle development & execution phase.

§ Provide project management support in the development of cost breakdown structures (CBS) and their population from the estimate.

§ Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and document Cost Time and Resource (CTR) sheets for phased cost estimates in line with the Company guidance notes for agreement and sign-off by the CTR budget holders.

§ Provide project guidance for creation of accurate monthly cost reports, identifying variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes and currency fluctuations against approved Authorities for Expenditure (AFEs).

§ Develop and implement the change management process for projects.

§ Provide guidance on trend analysis and the assessment of change impacts on cost.

§ Participate in peer reviews and other Assurance events.

§ Contribute to the development of junior staff through coaching and training in cost engineering practices, tools and techniques.

§ Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project teams.

§ Maintain consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to the controls processes.

§ Drive and raise awareness of the importance of developing the cost management structure in early project phases.

Skills / Experience Required

Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Engineer/Estimator or equivalent experience.
Minimum 6-12 years industry experience in lead cost engineering positions.
Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
Experience in managing small teams of junior personnel.
Fully versed with Cost Control principles and techniques.
Candidates must have the right to work in United States.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Drilling Supervisor / Well Site Leader to work for a global leading Oil and Gas company. Drilling Supervisors act as a pivotal role in leading all activity, HSE, operations and logistics at the well site.

The Role
As the Drilling Supervisor, you'll be accountable for supervising offshore / onshore drilling, completion and workover operations at rig sites. Whilst the majority of the work will be offshore at the rig site, some time may also be required to undertake operations planning and reviews. You'll ensure that all well site drilling and completions activities are carried out in compliance with company practices along with appropriate legislative requirements. Additionally you'll drive continuous improvements through and will coach individuals to enhance their contributions to performance. You'll also monitor all wells personnel and materials movements to ensure that there are no delays.

You
Ideally you'll be educated to a degree or HND level within a relevant discipline or you'll have the equivalent relevant experience within an Engineering role. You'll have enjoyed previous success in a Drilling Supervisor role and demonstrated competence in well design for drilling activities. You'll have experience with operation and safety program issues and you'll have had experience of working with third party providers. You'll be competent with landmark well engineering software packages such as DMIS/Openwells, Wellplan and will have previous experience of drilling for an operator. You'll ideally have an IWCF Well Control certificate.

- Develop/administer owner's integrated project schedule addressing engineering, procurement, fabrication/construction, installation and startup/commissioning phases
