Maintenance Supervisor (Lynwood)
LAND MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, receives, assigns work instruction to maintenance assistants and monitor their work and work of janitorial services, landscaping services, pest control services and HVAC contractors' job performances, and does work as assigned by the department.
RECEIVES DIRECTION FROM
This position reports to the Vice President of Land Management.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: inspect buildings for damage; inspect landscaping and irrigation systems for proper care; inspect business park for safety and hazardous conditions; inspect operation of business park common area lighting; and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The position is responsible for adhering to established department goals, guidelines and company policy. In addition, the position is responsible for protecting Economic Resources Corporation Company owned property and its tenants located at its business park.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION
Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED.
The maintenance supervisor position requires 10 years of experience in the areas of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC systems, and tenant improvements. In addition, should have experience to train assistants.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of and skill in good customer service practices; knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and construction practices; knowledge of irrigation systems; abilities to work heights, on ladders, and scaffolds; ability to read, write, communicate effectively, and comprehend the English language; ability to listen attentively to retain and follow detailed verbal instructions from supervisor; ability to establish smooth working relationships and resolve interpersonal conflicts; and ability to develop additional skills from practical on-the-job training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be in good physical condition, ability to stand, sit, squat, lay, bend, stoop, reach, lift 50 pounds or less, kneel to inspect work of maintenance crew, outside contractors, and perform daily job responsibilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Have a valid California driver's license and an acceptable driving record. In addition, should have an automobile to carry out duties and responsibilities.
