What you will be doing...

Carrying out Installation, Maintenance, Servicing and Repair work for Electrical/Electronics Systems and Instrumentation associated with the companies Detection Equipment across a variety of large and small Industrial and Commercial sites Including Power Stations, Incinerators, Refineries and Chemical Plants.

What you will need...

Ideally you will be experienced in a similar field such as Instrumentation and Controls, Electrical Engineering or Electronics, familiar with a field based environment where you are working on other client's sites. A suitable level of qualifications would be preferable with 1-2 years minimum experience. Qualifications may include HNC/HND, NVQ, City & Guilds or an Apprenticeship. KEY PURPOSE
Working at the largest airport in Afghanistan with successful candidate will be working under the supervision of the Crew Commander completing all aspects of airfield and/or structural fire fighting across the base.
Please note this is only a 4 month contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Drive and operates fire fighting apparatus, removes personnel from an area of high risk to an area of relative safety, executes fire extinguishing procedures
-Provides Advanced First Aid and CPR to the injured, supervises the return of equipment to a state of normal stand-by readiness after every use supervises and participates in required fire fighting training activities
-Maintains a physical fitness standard as required by Fire Services policy
-Supervises and participates in Fire Prevention and Life Safety inspections
-Supervises and conducts training for non-fire fighting personnel and various organized groups; -Supervises and conducts fire inspections; supervise and/or carry out the inspection, testing and maintenance of all fixed or portable extinguishing or detection systems, fire apparatus, water distribution systems, as well all hand portable fire fighting equipment, life safety equipment and fire fighting vehicles
-Maintains a high level of cooperation between peers, subordinates and supervisors;

QUALIFICATIONS

KEY PURPOSE
Provide Mechanical Handling Equipment training on military bases within Afghanistan to deliver and assess the unqualified and novice forklift and MHE operator and MHE training short course, in line with local and national certificate requirements, all courses accredited. Encompassing a wide variety of material-handling assets, ranging from light forklifts to heavy cranes and container handlers. Such as rough-terrain container handler; extended boom forklift; light-capability, rough-terrain forklift; multipurpose tractor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-To deliver and asses staff in manual handling and basic health and safety techniques within each theatre of operation or mission in both Afghanistan and Africa.
-To advise/teach students as well as operational managers and maintenance teams on safe and proper operating, daily/weekly/monthly checks, spare parts requirements etc
-You will be responsible for the complete site training of all staff associated with Lifting and Work Equipment, ensuring that Training records are in place for all and the delivery of on-going training requirements as laid down by the H and S Act.
-Management of company PPE and Accident reporting are also key to the success of this role and Management information will be collated and shared with the Senior Management team.
-To carry out Risk Assessments and ISO Standards across site are all important to the outcome of process and review therefore the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of this provision.
-The MHE team also manages the hardware, inspection and testing of fielded equipment and modernization of existing vehicle and watercraft systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should possess a relevant instructor qualification e.g. CPCS Instructor and/or RTITB Instructor (essential)
GCSE Math's & English grade A-C or equivalent (desirable).
IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent, to include experience of delivering H&S training
Forklift and Mechanical Handling experience
DSA, RTITB, Military DI or international equivalent would be ideal
Any other related certificates

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Management/supervisory experience
Experience of delivering and assessing Forklift and Mechanical

Roles / Responsibilities:

The Onshore Planner is responsible for organising and overseeing the following activities:

* Planning, and coordinating of offshore asset activities to ensure optimum utilisation of equipment and personnel.
* Ensuring all necessary resources are available when required and in accordance with company business needs and objectives.
* Ensure the Tollgate system is complied to and effectively implemented as per the BHPB tollgate process, liaising with the onshore Production services team.

* Understanding and comply with Installation safety Case and relevant statutory & legislative requirements.

* Understanding the onshore developed 90 day work plan and facilitating efficiently, planning the work safely and on time.

* Support and contribute to shutdown planning and execution
