Quality Engineer

My client a blue chip company based in Stonehouse Gloucestershire are a leader in technical solutions to the oil & gas drilling sectors.
Due to continuous growth they are currently recruiting a Quality Technician.

As a Quality Technician your duties will be as follows:
-To investigate product Quality problems and suggest Corrective and Preventive actions to be taken.
-To control the Discrepant Material Report (DMR) process, i.e. to ensure DMR is actioned by all parties in a timely manner;
-To monitor and maintain reports of DMR activity and to ensure Suppliers Corrective/Preventive action is effective.
-To provide back up with the Inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies. Liaise and supervise sub contract measurement where needed.

Qualifications & Skills
-You will be apprentice served, hold an HNC or HND and have previous Quality/Inspection experience.
-Experience of CMM is preferred
-Must be computer literate, able to generate reports from Excel etc.
-Be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to communicate well with Engineers and Suppliers.
-Working on discrepant materials which will involve chasing suppliers and people to avoid future reoccurrence.
-Need to be PC literate to produce excel reports and communicate well with engineers and suppliers

Inspection Technician

This role will include the inspection and examination of in-service pressurised equipment to identify defects. The types of equipment will include vessels, drums, exchangers, towers, tanks & boilers etc. Plus you will be involved with the inspection of new & existing pipework systems. This role is for an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor whose focus would be to act as the 'commercial and contractual guardian' of our tendering activities. The successful incumbent will work with our bid managers, estimating team, procurement team and others involved in tendering activities to provide contractual and commercial input to our tendering activities and subsequent negotiations. *To establish pre-contract contractual relationships with partners where required *Initial reviews of terms and conditions and other ITT documentation *Preparation of qualifications, clarifications and limitations (commercial memorandum) *Close liaison with the Procurement team to ensure suitable enquiry packages are issued *To present tender submissions to potential clients where requested and to play a full role in contract negotiations *To be able to appreciate and undertake post contract commercial duties if necessary *Strategic with good risk awareness

The job holder will contact with line managers, plant managers, process engineers and site based personnel. Also will keep contact with IT, Corporate Energy Group, Controllers, Business Account managers and Supply Chain.

The job demands someone with a high level of technical expertise probably indicated by a graduate qualification in Chemical Engineering and possibly a post-graduate qualification. You will have significant post-graduate experience in an appropriate operations, engineering or plant environment.

In addition following knowledge in: control systems, process engineering, software applications, plant dynamics, IT and control hardware systems, computer literacy will be an asset.

An understanding of equipment commissioning, maintenance and trouble shooting is required, as is a 'hands-on' approach and commitment to cope with rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

· Methodologies and tools for Cost Estimates- Utilise cost methodologies and tools to produce cost estimates. Incorporate project complexity factors into project estimates and assemble key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysis. Formulate and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters. Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks. Manage reviews and audits of cost estimates. Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPIs.

· Assess prospect scope and main components to develop consistent "building block" estimates (Type-2) for each concept under consideration. Utilise Technical, Economical, Commercial, Organisational & Political (TECOP) profile to establish appropriate deterministic cost contingency.

· Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up of the hardware elements (Type-3). Estimate composed of detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours. Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.

· Development of detailed project cost estimate (Type-4). Incorporation of project actuals to date and detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours for to-go costs.

· Develop Estimate Basis to document how estimate was developed.

Skills / Experience Required

Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Estimator or equivalent experience

Extensive industry experience in estimating positions in Oil and Gas

My client is a very ambitious service company to drilling contractors and operators. They are looking for a Sales Manager to run their Gulf of Mexico region and develop their business in that area. Ideally they are looking for an out and out sales person with a proven track record of success in the industry. Specific training on their products and services will be provided. The primary role of the Sales Manager is to achieve revenue goals for assigned regions/accounts with a primary focus on the Houston market.  In addition, a Houston-based Senior Delivery Manager will be available for sales engineering and proposal support when needed. The position will report to the VP of Global Business Development.

Responsibilities:

Quota Attainment

• Achieve personal revenue targets and support the attainment of team revenue targets. • Maintain a rolling sales pipeline that is 3-5X the quarterly quota target.

Account/Territory Management

• Identify, develop, close and sustain business in assigned client accounts. • Build trusted advisor relationships within client accounts at all levels. • Understand & respond effectively to most technical questions from prospective clients. • Effectively convey my client's risk reduction concepts at all levels. • Work closely with the delivery team to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Leadership

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing business from new and existing customers and will design and champion marketing strategies.
