Job Description:
The Educational Coordinator has two main areas of responsibility:
1) Provide high-quality administrative support across all areas of Tutor Corps (TC) and The Tutor Corps Foundation (TCF). 2) Manage TCF Community Service Grants, Scholarships for Young Women, Teacher of the Year award and Fall tutor placement at the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco.
The Educational Coordinator works with the CEO, Education Director, Tutor Services Manager and Outreach Director to provide general support for operations, projects and programs. The position responsibilities include general administrative support, paying invoices, office management, project management, editing online and printed marketing materials, executing of seasonal marketing campaigns (e.g. newsletters, holiday cards, etc), and communicating with clients and tutors as necessary.
This position requires the utmost professionalism, a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent writing and proofreading skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Educational Coordinator is proactive, self-motivated and can work well autonomously. This position reports to the CEO.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required - Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in an office environment - Experience in office management and administrative services - Proficiency with Apple/Mac operating system and multiple software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Doc/Apps, database and records management. Understanding of ZOHO CRM and HTML coding a plus
Skills/Experience: -Strong writing, copy editing and proofreading skills -Strong organization skills; ability multi-task and manage projects on a deadline -Exceptional work ethic and problem-solving abilities -Must be a self-starter who shows initiative and is able to work autonomously -Understanding of graphic/web design is a plus -Knowledge of current trends in education is a plus
