We are looking for a motivated and bright individual to provide payroll and benefits administration support for our high growth digital media company. In this role, you will assist in maintaining the Human Resource database and all employee records and files. The detail-oriented individual in this role will provide assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, termination, hire and transfer data, and other information as requested by the VP Finance and HR Director.

Primary responsibilities:
? Process twice-monthly multi-state payroll.
? Track twice-monthly payroll tax filings, quarterly & annual multi-state payroll tax filings, and W-2s.
? Collect and compile payroll data for hourly employees and audit for accuracy.
? Calculate commissions, submit for approval, and process payment.
? Track, enter, and maintain deductions for benefits, vacation, etc.
? Maintain attendance records.
? Process employee reimbursements.
? Establish and maintain department payroll records and reports.
? Adherence to Workers Comp policy and annual audit.
? Review and audit 401k program with new enrollees and annual support on audit.
? Compliance of current prevailing wage and employment requirements.
? Maintain human resource database, including email distribution lists and incoming/existing employees.
? Process hiring-related paperwork.
? Process new employees on all systems, including online interfaces for benefits.
? Process terminations on all systems.
? Input necessary new-hire employee paperwork for payroll.
? Audit all employee related paperwork.
? Maintain human resource files and records in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
? Process employment verification forms and unemployment claims.
? Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, amount of sales or production, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
? Answer employee questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
? Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
? Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports.

Requirements:
? BA in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field.
? 5 to 10 years' experience semi-monthly payroll processing for multi-state company with 100+ employees.
? Advanced knowledge of Intuit or Quickbooks and multi-state payroll.
? Solid understanding of labor laws related to wage and hour guidelines for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
? Familiarity with establishing and overseeing benefit accrual system.
? Solid understanding of deductions, wage garnishments, insurance deductions, 401K withholding, etc.
? Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast growth environment with competing priorities.
? Flexibility and willingness to work closely and learn within a team environment.
? Strong predisposition to support and service of management and employees at all levels.
? Must be able to handle all matters in a tactful, diplomatic, and confidential manner.
? Exceptional attention to detail.
? Extremely high level of integrity.
? Excellent references.
