Job purpose:
Electrical Discipline engineering activities within budget and schedule run, maintain technical integrity.
Main goals and objectives:
Electrical engineering activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, technical study & detailed design).
Act as a focal point discipline as required.
Role and responsibilities:
-Achieving safety standards as defined in personal performance contract.
-Responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the working methods and systems with a view to the continuous improvement of systems, personal and team performance.
-Carry out in accordance with the client and project health, safety, environment and quality systems.
-Maintaining the required technical quality of work.
-Maintain plan and cost control on all scopes.
-Ensure that designs in accordance with the relevant Codes, standards, regulations and procedures.
-Up-to-date with the technical developments, national and international standards and legal requirements relate to the discipline.
-Encourage and offer lateral learning within the project.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
-HNC or equivalent in appropriate technical topic.
-Associate Member or equivalent of appropriate technical institution.
-Experienced engineer with sound technical background and expertise.
-Experienced in the use of appropriate codes of good practice, the standards and the relevant sections of legal documentation.
-Experienced in the use of design and assessment methods used within discipline.
-Competent in use of analytical methods used within discipline including theoretical background for analysis programs.
-Aware of the commercial, contractual and administrative aspects of engineering.
-Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.
-Competent in constructive safety/environmental requirements, procedures and responsibilities for both itself and subordinates.
