DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in enforcing and monitoring demographic areas personnel policies and procedures.
2. Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program
3. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
4. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
5. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements.
6. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
7. Participates in field staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
8. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
9. Maintains Human Resource Information System records, Employee Files and compiles reports from database.
10. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
11. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience, OR
2. A master' degree in Human Resources Management and two (2) years of experience in the HR field, OR
3. Seven (7) years of experience in the HR field
4. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
Location: Santa Clarita Valley & High Desert
Compensation: $50-55K DOE
