KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under general supervision provides onsite services by measuring, and testing the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and controlling fluid properties. Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. Maintains fluid properties on rig sites by testing fluid properties accurately. Maintains inventory at customer well sites. Must provide effective customer service by providing rig-site customers and coordinators information regarding the progress of a rig site and create/implement solutions to rig site problems. Provides ongoing support to assist operations in providing our customers the most effective, environmentally safe drilling fluids available while optimizing the well-bore construction process and maximizing our customers' production. Performs other related duties as required. Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years experience as a Mud Engineer REQUIRED Basic understanding of the applications of Drilling Fluids and the duties of a Drilling Fluids Engineer. Industry experience and product line training required. Good mechanical aptitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Two year Technical Degree preferred.
OTHER DETAILS
Employee must successfully pass instructor led drilling fluids, reservoir fluids, or environmental services classes. The employee will also undertake computer based training, HSE and compliance training.
