We are a small company that provides eProcurement solutions to government agencies and bid notification services to private businesses. We are looking for a Bid Research Associate whose main responsibility will be to research government bid opportunities and to post them on our web site. Other responsibilities will include sales and customer support, as well as performing administrative functions. There are growth opportunities within the company.

Responsibilities

1. Bid Research

? Research and post bid opportunities from public sector organizations
? Keep up to date on amendments and adjust web site information accordingly
? Ensure that we have researched the entire list of public sector organizations at least on a weekly basis
? Expand our coverage of public sector organizations
? Check with government agencies that don't have a dedicated bid opportunities web site, and find out how they post bids and where we can find their bid opportunities
? Work with our IT to enhance our auto-download capabilities
? Familiarize yourself with the different public sector organizations and government agencies, and different levels of government
? Familiarize yourself with the different products and services put out for bid
? Familiarize yourself different the commodity codes and categories
? Minimize errors related to bid research, including omissions, duplications, as well as data and spelling errors.

2. Customer and Sales Support

? Interacting with clients and prospects over the phone and e-mail
? Promoting and answering questions regarding our product and services
? Helping them navigate our web site
? Collecting payment information for subscriptions
? Calling subscribers about their annual renewals
? Calling new prospects about subscribing

Skills & Qualities:
? Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively.
? Requires strong organization skills and attention to detail
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree required
? 1 to 3 years of work experience
? Prior experience in data entry a plus
