We already have business ready to go and are seeking larger projects. We are looking for an experienced General Contractor to bring on our team to manage the builds and oversee development. The right applicant will ensure that the construction project is constructed safely and in accordance with contract documentation, design, construction schedule and budget and in compliance with state and federal laws. We prefer one person who has experience with both residential and commercial. This position is not necessarily hands on but more the role of a coordinator who manages all aspects of the project and the individuals involved. Our company is based in Orange County but we are seeking a Contractor/Construction Supervisor for our business in LA. Eligible applicants must live in Los Angeles.

Qualifications:
-Have current driver's license
-Not have criminal record and willing to submit to a background check
-Must be eligible to work in the United States
-Not have previous lawsuits or complaints filed against you
-Have a minimum of 5-10 years experience in all phases of construction with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role
-Knowledge and history of effectively hiring and managing workers to maximize their time efficiency and quality of work
-Ability to quickly read and comprehend construction documents including blueprints
-Industry specific training
-Ability to function in high-pressure situations
-Must have great customer service and interpersonal skills
-Must have great time management skills
-High school diploma or GED required, Bachelors Degree in Construction Management,Civil Engineering or related field preferred
-Must be fluent in Spanish
-Must posses strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Requirements:
-Oversee project development to monitor schedule progress and suggest and implement recovery actions when necessary
-Holds primary responsibility for field coordination between all parties involved in the construction or renovation
-Communicates project status including progress and any problems with supervisors
-Maintains all current permits and inspection reports on site
-Develops and maintains a leadership position on the project site in a competent, professional manner at all times
-Keeps current records and reports containing accurate knowledge about the status of the full project scope at all times
-Thoroughly reviews and understands all drawings and specifications
-Reviews all RFIs and change documents
-Maintains compliance in all aspects of project goals and all requirements
-Coordinates activity on project site and acts as a liaison to inspectors, general labor, other contractors, and supervisors
-Oversees and coordinates with appropriate safety representatives to ensure site safety
-Maintains awareness of the project budget constraints and endeavors to keep all costs within budget as well as develop a work plan to achieve the budget objectives
-Conducts all work with honesty and integrity

The right applicant for this position will have the experience and knowledge needed to ensure project site is in accordance with all safety, budgetary, and legal requirements. The qualified applicant will have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Spanish. The right individual for this role will be self-directed and effectively lead, motivate, and manage the construction crew to meet all time and budgetary requirements while always maintaining a high level of professionalism. This position is to supervise the project development and the individuals working on the construction and/or renovation and is not a hands-on position requiring extensive manual labor. The work is 60% residential and 40% commercial. The majority of the residential projects are room extensions as well as second story additions and interior remodeling. Commercial projects are Tenant Improvement with interior, exterior ADA, and storefront changes.
