This type of job is not too demanding because a driver will only be driving trucks five days a week, and he will have the luxury of being at home with his family during weekends. In some cases, the driver may be required to return to the office the same day. A driver can really have a good career if he applies for one of the various regional truck driving jobs. These are some of the conditions that a driver must meet in order to qualify for one of these jobs:

He must have a current CDL license. This is issued by the transport department of each state of the US, with each of them setting own requirements.
He must have at least two years of experience. It is very beneficial to have experience driving different types of trucks, from trapdoors to trailers. This experience shows that the driver knows the different routes in the country, including shortcuts in case of the need to beat heavy traffic in some areas.
The driver must be at least 25 years old, even though the minimum age for driving is 18 years. Most companies only want people who are mature enough to handle the daily demands of the job.
A regional driver must also be resident in the city in which his employer is located. The location of his employer is usually the principal office used for business activities.

If he prefers, a driver can even be paid every week, and the good thing is that he may not even need the money at the end of the week because there are various bonuses he can always make use of. Even during economic crises in the country, a CDL certified truck driver can always take care of your family.
