This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading Oil and Gas operator in Aberdeen. In the role of Facilities Engineer, you will develop plan and project manage all Facilities Engineering Activities associated with the company's offshore facilities.


Duties and responsibilities in this role, will include:-
Provide engineering services in the area of facilities engineering including cost projection, approval for expenditure and budgetary control.
Provide Facilities Engineering input into existing and new assets ensuring design and operational requirements are complied with and are maintained and upgraded as necessary.
Formulate and develop conceptual Facilities engineering designs into functional scopes of work for new and existing assets in an effective and economical manner
Management of engineering, construction, fabric maintenance and third party / vendor support personnel.
Provide functional guidance to the company's engineering contractors and other subcontractors on engineering, design, installation, testing and commissioning activities, to ensure that work performed is of a quality to meet company standards and is produced in a timely and cost effective manner.
Provide specialist technical expertise and act as focal point for ensuring the safest and most cost effective methods of Facilities Project installation, while minimising any loss of production revenue through innovative techniques, procedures and equipment.
Assist support functions to ensure that Facilities actions are completed in a timely manner e.g. close out of Corrective Action sheets.
Support the finance department, being familiar with approval for expenditure procedures, financial and cost commitment projections and achieving their business objectives.
Anticipate future Facilities requirements on existing assets, prepare engineering cost forecast to support budget and life of field planning.


You will ideally have experience in the following areas:-
Management and control of all shutdown related Facilities, Integrity and Maintenance activities that require the services of the incumbent engineering/construction and fabric maintenance contractors.
Management and control of all specialist third party vendors supporting the above activities.
Co-ordination of the Vessel cleaning, inspections and associated remedial work scopes.
Responsible for ensuring that all work packs, materials and personnel are available to satisfy the shutdown plan.
Involved in the preparation of any relevant ISSOW permits (including participation in level 2 Risk Assessment) and supporting documentation (marked-up P&ID's, etc.) in advance of and during the shutdown period.
Liaison with external bodies, in relation to verification, witness testing and commissioning of associated activities.


You will ideally have a degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline, and will be a Chartered Engineer, or be working towards Chartered Status. You will require a valid offshore survival certificate and medical, as offshore travel may be required.
