Project Manager

Project Manager-6 months Minimum-£ 30-£ 33per hour Ltd-immediate Start
Possibility of winning a permanent role if desired
Mechanical Engineering/maintenance/Retrofit projects

An internationally renowned company specialising in mechanical plant and power generation solutions for the oil and gas industry are looking to recruit two mechanical design engineers to cope with a large increase in the work. Work for massive oil companies such as Texaco, BP and they are responsible for maintenance on distances, Shell, upgrading, maintaining, and mechanical plant all over the world.

What the role will involve:
1. management of the upgrade and retrofit and revisions of power generation systems from concept to completion project.
2. Project planning and allocation of all required resources, purchasing, production, design, through to maintenance and commissioning manual site installers, engineers.
3. management of the client relationship-visits client sites, dealing with problems, to update them on progress and work with them to the overall goal.
4. Commercial awareness-understand and quote for ' at work ' changes, are aware of the budget and always looking for ways to increase profit margins.
5. management of up to five projects at once-all in different stages of their life cycle.

What the company looks in the contractor:
1. Project management experience of a CAPEX mechanical engineering background.
2. commercial awareness.
3. very knowledgeable of project management methodologies-for example Prince 2.
4. Client facing experience.
5. ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and bring the project in on the budget.
