Luxury Boutique Hotel - Director of Food and Beverage Outlets

This person is responsible for management and ensuring that day to day operations for all Food and Beverage outlets offer an exceptional and unique dining experience while also achieving goals related to sales, cost control, profitable financial management, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, sanitation and effective leadership.

Our vision for our Director of Food & Beverage is to be hands on at our resort with focus on increasing revenue and improving operational efficiencies while maintaining service standards of a four diamond experience.

The Food & Beverage operations feature menus which are focused on local, sustainable, seasonal food and beverages, with an emphasis on local relationships.

FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible to maintain effective operations of all luxury hotel Food and Beverage outlets.
• Will be business minded, creative and work to build a successful enterprise; developing customer loyalty.
• Partner with the Executive Chef to continually collaborate on the performance of the menu, both on guest feedback & profitability.
• Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancing measures throughout all F and B outlets and profitability.
• Monitors performance to ensure adherence to all service standards, productivity standards to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Interact frequently and positively with hotel and restaurant guests. Resolve issues to the satisfaction of involved parties.
• Maintain constant communication with department heads to ensure guest service needs are met on a daily basis.
• Manage interviewing, staffing, training and development of food & beverage team discipline.
• Ensure that all Human Resource standards and procedures are met on a daily basis.
• Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, and monitoring food presentation
• Implementation, execution and evaluation of all operational training programs.
• Responsible to attend various departmental meetings as needed.
• Review monthly P&Ls, monitor and forecast food & beverage revenues, budget, and expenses to ensure company goals are met on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Implement and monitor ordering and receiving program to ensure proper quantity and prices on all purchases.
• Regularly move throughout hotel to visually monitor business levels, staffing levels, and that ensure company specifications are met at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation levels to Health Department required ratings at all times.
• Oversee departmental matters as they relate to federal, state, and local employment, labor and civil rights laws
• Develop, implement and maintain local food and beverage marketing programs for the restaurants

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Required critical skills include: Leadership, Vision, Communication and Critical Thinking.
• Reliable, self motivated, takes initiative, ability to work independently .
• Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all and promotes positive relations through an environment that encourages open communications, trust, and mutual respect.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Food and Beverage Director.
• Able to exercise coaching and counseling with company set policies.
• Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, shifts vary and will include weekends and holidays.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage and awareness of current and future trends.
• Ability to supervise staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, and talking disciplinary action when necessary.
• Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
• Luxury customer service experience is required with a strong ability to positively handle guest relations.
• Applicants must be proficient with basic technology computers in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
• Applicant must be proficient with Back and Front of the House Point of Sale.

Location : Los Angeles
Compensation: competitive 80,000-100,000 + Bonus & Benefits
