Raise Money to Advance LGBT Rights

The 2012 elections were historic for LGBT rights. The state of Wisconsin elected our country's first openly gay senator, and voters in four different states went to the polls in support of marriage equality!! While we celebrate our victories, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done:
Same-sex marriage is still not permitted in 41 states.
The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) still prevents the federal government from recognizing legally married same-sex couples and denies them over 1000 rights.
There are no federal protections for LGBT people in the workplace, and it is still legal to be fired because you are gay or lesbian in 29 states.Telefund is hiring enthusiastic, politically aware people to raise money for organizations working to protect and advance LGBT rights such as the Human Rights Campaign and the ACLU. Along with these, we also raise money for political and non-profit organizations like Planned Parenthood, PBS, the Sierra Club and the ASPCA.

Now that the 2012 Elections are decided, it is critical we help move the country forward. The next couple of years will be decisive for equality, health care, the environment, and other issues. Be a part of history! This is a great job for college students, college grads, teachers, individuals seeking a second job, and retirees looking for part-time work. -Four Hour Shifts Monday-Friday 12:30PM-4:30PM and 5PM-9PM, Saturday and Sunday 10AM-2PM and 2:30PM-6:30PM
