Processes weekly Union Employees' and twice-monthly Office Employees' in-house payrolls, generates checks and/or electronic transfers as applicable. Handles wage assignments and garnishments. Prepares Certified Payroll reports plus State and Federal required documentation.Makes timely deposits of payroll withholdings and related employment taxes.Prepares Union Benefit Reports and related checks for management review and approval. Prepares and submits OCIP/CCIP reports as applicable.
Handles matters pertaining to group health, dental, vision and life insurance accounts, ensuring that all premiums are prepared and made both accurately and timely.
Prepares year-end W-2 Statements.
Works with outside Auditors involving payroll and Group Insurance matters.
In addition to the Payroll duties addressed above, this individual will also assist in certain general Accounting duties.
Performs other payroll related duties as assigned by Management.
This is a "hands-on" position. The individual administers the payroll functions, but does not supervise any staff-members or co-workers.
