Mechanical Engineer - Asset Engineer
Loch Long - Scottish West Coast
£40-50,000 + pension and bonus opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large independent chemical company. As an Asset Engineer you will provide discipline engineering expertise and support to the asset in delivering plant integrity and availability. This post is based on the Finnart Ocean Terminal on the west coast of Scotland. The terminal handles large crude oil and product ships, and has significant storage facilities.

Candidates should have experience of the following:
Knowledge of theory and practice of managing equipment reliability systems and processes e.g.
asset care
Strong understanding of discipline legislative and technology requirements and demonstrated
ability to appropriately translate to equipment inspection/maintenance regimes
Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
An understanding of design and maintenance of rotating equipment
An understanding and working knowledge of industry engineering codes and standards covering these types of equipment is essential

You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, and be a Chartered engineer. You will also have experience of working in the oil/gas or petrochemical-manufacturing environment, with experience of working as a discipline engineer.
