Snow piled on thick across the San Juan Mountains Friday and will continue to fall in parts of Colorado's high country through the weekend, 9News meteorologist Marty Coniglio said.
But the Front Range will remain dry through the beginning of the work week. Denver's next chance for snow will be Wednesday.
High winds — gusting 70 to 90 mph — are possible in the foothills starting early Monday morning, lasting through the day Monday into Tuesday afternoon, he said. For the metro area, Monday winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected out of the west.
Sunday, temperatures are expected to start out at a low of 20 to 25 degrees, warming to afternoon highs of 45 to 49 degrees, Coniglio said.
