Project Director

My client, through its Australian subsidiary, announced on 31 October 2010 that it had taken a Final Investment Decision to sanction the first phase of the QCLNG Project, consisting of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.5 million tonnes per annum.

My client will do detailed design, procurement and construction work valued at about A$1 billion for the 540 kilometre, 42-inch underground gas pipeline network to transport coal seam gas from QGC's gas fields in the Surat Basin of southern Queensland to a LNG export facility at Curtis Island, near Gladstone. The work includes a marine crossing from the mainland to Curtis Island.

My client has a significant history of JVs globally and will use their respective large diameter pipeline experience and resources to deliver Australia's largest diameter and longest pipeline. Construction started in early 2011 with completion scheduled for mid 2012.

Candidates are required to have:

* University degree preferably in Engineering.
* Project Director level with experience on EPC Projects, but mainly CONSTRUCTION.
* Primarily Contractor's experience.
* Strong experience to lead all Construction Activities and be the Contractor's Representative
* Strong experience to interact with Client on a daily basis.
* Strong negotiating skills with Clients.
* Minimum 20 years' experience in Onshore Construction Pipelines worldwide.
* Preferably with experience in AUTOMATIC welding systems, and AUT.

Salary is negotiable and will depend on the qualifications and experience of each candidate.
