Job Summary:

Under moderate direction, applies engineering skills to provide innovative and cost effective design and development solutions requiring the development of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products. Plans, conducts and evaluates approaches to meet the project objectives in a timely fashion.

Duties:

*Assists to develop and commercialise products.
*Participates in the origination of new technologies and low cost innovations that maintain the companies technical leadership position.
*Prepares cost estimates and continually analyses variables in design.
*Under moderate direction, builds prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing.
*Ensures commitments are agreed, reviewed and met. Ensures final product meets the needs as defined by project.
*Under moderate direction, designs testing procedures and coordinates with others to perform tests. Conducts tests, documents test results and develops client presentation.
*Ensures field and/ or customer support. Assists in designing proper testing procedures to verify problems as well as solutions.
*Provides user training for developed products.
*Identifies and keeps abreast of novel technical concepts and markets.
* Incorporates safe work procedures in all aspects of the job while maintaining a safe work environment.
*May direct or assign the work of technicians.
*May participate in recruiting.
*Travel as required to Field and/or Client Locations

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

BS in Engineering or Sciences
MS in Engineering or Sciences

Experience:

Evidence of practical experience in the relevant discipline gained through academic studies or work experience.
Evidence of genuine interest in chosen field, outside of university studies.
Computer Skills/ Computer Programming
Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
Product Development Skills, including design.
