Instrument Engineer

The Instrument Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support on all matters concerning instrumentation on a site based project on this blue chip oil refinery and chemical manufacturing facility. Candidates must have extensive experience in the field of Instrument Engineering and have practical experience of working on the design and specification of instruments in hazardous areas or for plant protection. The successful candidate will provide professional technical recommendations on instrument infrastructure and technology issues and provide professional instrument engineering for major projects. The role will include: Writing and reviewing design specifications; Sizing and selecting instrumentation to be used, recommending the best type that will fit the requirements of the application; Overseeing detailed engineering and ensuring its compliance to the Client's engineering standards; Reviewing and approving detailed engineering, specification sheets, requisitions, drawings to be issued for construction etc; Supporting the procurement, construction and commissioning phases of a project.
