Electro-Mechanical Fitter
(Rotating Equipment Experience)
Permanent - £10.16 p/h + overtime + 25 days holiday

Through being awarded several major contracts to upgrade and maintain a variety of rotating plant equipment for a number of prestigious global engineering businesses, the service team of this renowned manufacturing business are currently working flat out to keep up with demand and are urgently seeking an experienced electro-mechanical fitter for a permanent position. The successful electro-mechanical fitter will possess the following skills and experience:
• Mechanically biased with good general electrical skills.
• Rotating machinery experience. This could include motors, generators, engines, turbines, pumps or similar.
• Commutable to site.

The role will involve:
• Equipment will come into the office, mostly motors. Some work will be done from drawings or will be told what to do.
• Will be stripped down mechanically (motors, gearboxes, bearings) and disconnected electrically (removing connections). Need a good general electrical understanding but not detailed winders.
• Will then be refurbished and rebuilt - electrically putting connections together and full mechanical re-build.

The company will offer the successful electro-mechanical fitter the following:
• £10.16 p/h.
• Overtime available - time ½ during the week and Saturday mornings. Double time for Saturday afternoons and Sundays.
• 25 days holiday.
