Sub-Contract Engineer - site-based

KEY PURPOSE
Our client, a leader in the power generation and energy sector, is currently seeking to recruit a number of Sub-Contract Engineers to join their team on a contract basis, based on-site in the South of England.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sub-Contract Engineers will be expected to co-ordinate, monitor and supervise the supply services, installation and erection of subcontracts at site safely ensuring execution of the defined work scope is completed to the required quality standards and ensure that they comply with Company, Client and Contractual requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (required)
- HNC/Degree in a relevant field (preferable)
- ECITB SMTDS module (preferable)
- IOSH Certificate (preferable)

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Candidates need to possess significant and appropriate experience as a Supervisor in the Mechanical and Process Industry sector.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal, practical and company safety requirements.
- Ability to manage and maintain the subcontractors' level of productivity to that required under contract.
- Knowledge and application of the company and client quality procedures.
- Ability to liaise with Subcontract management to ensure that recorded meetings are held to identify relevant interfaces for the contract and identify lines and methods of communications.
- An awareness of related contract issues such as;
- Commercial/Financial status
- IT
- Planning systems and application
