Our client is a leading independent services provider for the Oil & Gas and Power Generation markets and they are currently looking to add a number of Instrument Technicians to their team to work on various assets in the North Sea. The Instrument Technicians will be accountable for carrying out maintenance activities in line with discipline and provide support to their Offshore Supervisor.

Main duties will include:

*Accountable for the execution of maintenance activities, ensuring permits, tools, materials, equipment, work site preparation, and all supporting documentation, are in place.
*Identify requirements that will enable self-development within role and actively contribute as required.
*Carrying out planned maintenance activities in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system
*Assisting with the coordination of spare parts requirements and the optimisation of spares stack levels
*Carrying out unplanned maintenance as required
*Minimise downtime and contribute to the achievement of production targets
*Preparing technical reports as required
*Responsible for ensuring any individual gaps in your competency standards are closed out on a timely basis.
*Comply with company training, competency and personal development programmes.
*Liaise with other departments/technicians as required ensuring effective/efficient delivery of the agreed plans.
*Ensure equipment, systems and work sites are reinstated to the required standard.
*Ensure work history is comprehensively recorded in line with Maximo data quality requirements.
*Identify, document and communicate all follow up work and material requirements or other relevant data e.g. ordering materials against work orders.
*Demonstrate a flexible approach to overall team performance and delivery, for example, co-ordinating vendor/subcontractor activities, shutdown preparations, multi-tasking, etc.
*Stand in for Discipline Supervisor as required when identified and suitably trained
*Provide technical support to platform team members where required
*Ensure high quality risk assessments are carried out for all activities, with particular attention to recognising the impact of change.
*Participate in improvement initiatives as appropriate.
*Carry out emergency response duties as required.
*Participate when required and appropriate in the weekly planning meeting.
*Accountable for relevant safety critical activities as detailed in the Activity Catalogue.
*Provide effective support to workforce, vendors, third parties and apprentices in appropriate safety leadership behaviours
*Promote and encourage team safety performance by participating in and producing quality Tool Box Talks and TRIC's
*Visible commitment to the risk assessment process. On-going reviews of the process and carry out safety audits in the work environment for compliance

Candidates will ideally hold or be working towards a level 3 NVQ or equivalent in a relevant discipline and ideally have previous experience in a similar position within the oil & gas industry. Candidates must hold valid survival, MIST and medical certificates.
