Regional Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities

*Participate in the development of the sales strategy and implement it effectively in the geographical territories assigned.
*Support the activities of the other regional sales engineers to ensure consistency and continuity in relationships with global clients
*Support the activities of the aftersales department
*Manage the activities of the agents in the assigned territories to achieve the agreed promotional, marketing, aftersales and order intake objectives.
*Develop and document the order realisation strategy for each prospect assigned.
*Develop, document and operate the agreed territory development strategy for the geographical territories assigned.
*Ensure database entries for the assigned projects and territories are up-to-date.
*Provide a monthly sales report to the Director of Sales at the end of each calendar month.
*Participate in the promotion and marketing of all Heatric products and services via activities such as face to face meetings, sales presentations, attendance at trade shows.
*Ensure all agents in the assigned territories are properly registered with TRACE
*Report agreed sales performance metrics to the Director of Sales and recommend actions necessary to achieve targeted outcomes in sales objectives.
*Participate in the definition and implementation of sales strategy.
*Advise on resource and capability levels within the department with reference to sales activities.
*Assist in recruitment, selection and effective induction and integration of new members to the department.
*Maintain those databases, reports and records necessary to support departmental management activities.


Person Specification
*Technically and commercially capable of operating independently.
*Confident and credible; able to obtain the respect of clients and colleagues.
*Socially adept with good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
*Able to build strong relationships; internal and external.
*Clarity of view and focus on objectives; results driven. Effective motivator.
*Education to degree level in an engineering discipline
*Previous experience in a commercial, sales environment, ideally with technical products
*Willingness to travel
