We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant General Manager/Guest Service in our CALABASAS location.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Lead and direct the Guest Services operations for the bakery. Train team members on the various Guest Services responsibilities to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor sales forecasts, supply levels and labor deployment. Support the General Manager in the overall operations of the Guest Services department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, investigate and assess issues as they arise in the business
Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed
Ensure that the Ecolab (Pest Elimination and Chemical) standards are consistently maintained
Ensure quality products are served and delivered in a prompt, timely manner
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment at all times in accordance with bakery and health department standards
Prepare for and recover from peak guest demands by adjusting labor plan and deployment as necessary
Execute shift changes and conduct daily opening/closing to ensure bakery is clean and ready for guests
Receive and transfer supplies in accordance with company procedures
Communicate all assignments to team members
Motivate and recognize team members
Ensure compliance with all SusieCakes policies and procedures
Notify GM of all personnel problems, grievances or potential problems
Maintain a work environment free of harassment and hostility
Set a good performance example for team members to follow
Ensure interior/exterior of the bakery is clean and well maintained
Coach team members to ensure that they suggestively sell our product/retail offerings
Inform team members of marketing initiatives and campaigns
Manage cash by utilizing SusieCakes cash control and accounting procedures
Ensure daily cash deposits are accurate and deposited in the bank

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

EDUCATION: High school diploma
College degree preferred

CERTIFICATIONS
ServSafe Food Handler Certification
