New Build Shipyard Rig Asset Manager ( Job Number: 11993 ) Description
The New Built shipyard Rig Asset Manager is accountable for ensuring that the inventory and capital spares for the rig, lessons learnt from previous rigs and maintenance system is implemented prior to the rig's departure from the shipyard. Rig Asset Manager is also involved in commissioning activities in the shipyard and technical preparation of the rig for client acceptance tests.

Actively promotes and complies with company safety programs and is responsible for ensuring adherence to company safety standards. Coordinate and team with the Rig and project Manager to establish shared goals which optimize the use of Company resources.

The Rig Asset Manager works closely with the project Manager. The Rig Asset Manager is typically responsible for a rig generating higher levels of revenue, by improving "Uptime" of the rig over its life cycle.

It is intended that the new built shipyard rig asset manager will move with the rig.

Experience, Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications
Required
· Must have operational and/or maintenance experience in an offshore drilling operation.
· Is process oriented and well organized.
Preferred
· Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related educational equivalent from an accredited technical or trade school or institute is preferred.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
· Ensure adherence to Ensco's Safe System of Work (SSoW).
· Participate in operational and safety meetings
· Oversee implementation of job safety analyses and hazard assessments, especially for maintenance related tasks.
· Carry out inspections and audits according to the Asset Management Plans
· Assume role on investigation team when major incident occurs
· Accountable for maintenance of hull integrity
Maintenance & Financial
· Responsible to execute preventive maintenance program in compliance with Ensco's standards and with the right level of quality.
· Coordinate personnel training on maintenance system
· Lead major Root Cause Failure Analyzes and identify corrective action and lessons learned
· Accountable for continuous Auditing process to ensure compliance with company standards
· Ensure there is a proper close out process of all actions items with the right level of follow up
· Provide guidance to track and analyze KPI's for his rigs, such as downtime, overdue PM, etc…when the rig goes in operations.
· Ensure company continuous monitoring programs are in effect
· Review commissioning plans during Shipyard, ensure it is detailed and it is coordinated with project team.
· Review PM routine and ensure an efficient PM improvement cycle is in effect
· Follow-up and Ensure proper close out process of all asset related action items
· Accountable for Majex (Major Expenditure) and capital budgets, preparation of AFE's, tracking and forecasting costs.
· Responsible for 5yr plan and technical requirement forecasting for assigned asset(s)
· Ensure general maintenance, operation, repair records and shipyard documentation are accurate and up-to-date
· Analyze and order spares (inventory) for the rig and provide input on additions / deletions and overall inventory values.
· Co-ordinate with Supply Chain to track equipment / spares movement
· Assist with and engage Field Support and/or third parties for any Technical help.
· Coordinate class, flag and regulatory body requirements.
· Gathers lessons learnt from operating rig and ensures that action items are implemented in the shipyard or a plan is prepared to implement them after delivery of the rig from the shipyard.
· Ensures that a warranty process is agreed with Capital projects and shipyard.
Management of change
· Ensure the tracking and follow up of the REA's for his rig is in effect. Coordinate modifications. REA process needs to be closed by providing updates to Engineering once modifications are carried out.
· Ensure rig documentation update process is in effect
Documentation
· Ensure proper document control system is in place. Maintain consistency across his rigs for document filling as per Ensco guidelines.
· Oversees rig documentation and in particular rig regulatory certification, well control equipment certificates and drawings are kept up-to-date.
· Work with Rig Manager to update rig equipment list.
· Assist marketing group as needed to answer technical question in bidding processes
· Ensures general maintenance, operation, and repair records and documentation are kept accurate and up-to-date
Personnel
· Participate and give his perspective in the talent review and succession planning process in the maintenance departments on the rig. Work with Rig Manager on providing this feedback.
General Management
· Ensures a high level of productivity, teamwork, and employee satisfaction within the maintenance team.
· Attends client meeting as required to provide support to Rig Manager and Operations Manager.
Minimum Skills for this position

Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by government regulations are required.
