Tutor ( San Gabriel Valley -- Alhambra, Montebello, El Monte)

We are Leading Edge Tutors. We are an SES provider and we work with children who receive free tutoring under the federal No Child Left Behind program. Students receive supplemental instruction in the subject areas of mathematics and language arts. All tutoring is conducted on a one-on-one basis. Tutor schedules are flexible. Tutoring slots are available seven days a week. Tutoring occurs in the student's home or the local library. The students that we tutor are in grades second through twelfth. All tutors must take a competency test for placement purposes. Tutoring begins February 12, 2013, and concludes in May 2013.

REQUIREMENTS:
>All tutors must be fingerprinted through the LiveScan process
>All tutors must have a negative TB test that is less than three years old
>All tutors must have internet access
>All tutors must be punctual with all deadlines and appointments
>All tutors must record accurately student progress and attendance
>All tutors must have reliable transportation and current car insurance
>All tutors must be willing to serve students from a variety of backgrounds
>All tutors must be professional in their attitude and appearance
>B.A. degree preferred; A.A. will be considered
>Bilingual encouraged to apply
