Network Administrator Position

National test preparatory company located in Santa Monica is searching for a qualified network administrator to start ASAP.

Net Admin sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to CFO.

The ideal candidate will have the strong knowledge of the following:

1. Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, subnets, WAN, LAN, VPN, VLANs etc.)
2.Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers
3. Exchange server
4. Online / Internet backup
5. Windows based software including Microsoft Office
6. Sonicwall Firewall
7. Network switches
8. SAN
9. Nortel Phone system
10. Windows 2000 Workstation, Windows XP Professional
11. Virtualization via VMWare
12. Website configuration including DNS / Name server / ASP.net deployment

Knowledge of other software/hardware a plus:

*VoicePrint
*TimeWolf
* (Pacer) IVR System
* Phone circuits: PRI & T1 ?" Tech path
* Enterprise Fax Manager (Goldfax)

Our system includes 10 on-site servers, approximately 30 on-site users and 150 remote users (who only require email access). We also have 2 remote offices connected via VPN
