SOUS CHEF (Korean/Asian Cuisine Influenced Preferred)

We are looking for a full time professional Sous Chef who will lead, direct, and motivate our kitchen staff as well as our food and beverage service staff in providing our guests with an outstanding experience. If you would like an opportunity to join our professional management team in helping us take it to the next level, this may be the job for you.

Candidate must have extensive knowledge of a variety of cuisines but having a background in Korean and Asian Cuisine is a preferred. Be ready to show us your abilities during the interview process. You must be able to create, execute and manage a large menu. This job will require a serious amount of hours but will be very rewarding.

All qualified candidates must:

- Be at least 21 years of age
- Pass background checks
- Speak English fluently and coherently (bi-lingual a plus)
- Have flexible working hours (We are open 24/7)
- Not have any visible tattoos or body piercings other than earrings

Required Experience:

- Knowledge of Payroll and reconciliation
- Knowledge of Scheduling (has used hot schedules -- a plus)
- Must be able to build Menus
- Must take direction well
- Must be a hands-on manager
- Knowledge of American and traditional Asian cuisine a Plus
- Must have cooked professionally for a minimum of 5 years
- Strong skills in leadership, motivation, facilitation, and communication (both written and oral)
- Knowledge of inventory systems is a plus
- Deliver and maintain food quality and consistency standards as determined by Ownership
- Must be able to develop and implement new menu items which are customer hits and cost effective
- Must be able to lift and carry 26 -- 50 pounds per incident, for up to two hours per shifts, incrementally, endure long periods of standing and perform repetitive hand motion.
- Ordering and receiving of product food and beverage product
- Professional presence and will lead by example
- Problem-solver, proactive and "out of the box" thinker
- Committed, trustworthy, and poses a strong work ethic
- Takes great pride in doing their job well and seeing others succeed
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Proficient in math
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to read people and situations and to react appropriately
- Work well under pressure
