Sous Chef (Santa Monica)

- minimum of one year kitchen management experience, preferably in a farmers' market driven concept, plus strong line cooking skills
- experience in catering, both on and off site
- culinary education is a plus, but not required
- works well under pressure, able to multi task while being respectful to co-workers and remaining team oriented
- high levels of organization, computer literacy, and ability to interact with vendors, purveyors, and market participants
- in possession of a current CA Food Handlers Card, and familiar with health department standards and requirements regarding sanitation
- fluency in spanish is a plus, not required for strong candidates
- in possession of classic cooking fundamentals with comfort food sensibilities, this position offers opportunity for menu input and daily special development
- reliable transportaion
